Has anyone else received the promo email to join Trading Places? It's an II email with an offer for a free membership and an AC for doing so.

This is the part that triggers the skepticism in me:

"And there's no obligation. All you have to do is sign up for a free TPI membership, and the Bonus Vacation Week is yours!"

TPI classic is free. TPI is related to II, owned by ILG. I have not gotten the email, but, a free AC does not sound unreasonable. The question is, what quality AC will it be! Not all are the same. Some are very limited and it's excess inventory anyway.

I've done TPI for a long time. It is true the inventory isn't necessarily the cream of the crop, but you do get to see what is available before you deposit. You can pay for Prime and get bonus weeks with early deposits. You can call in and ask for inventory that you can't see online. Your add is legit.

Other than from early deposits, does TPI ever give out bonus weeks like II does? Do you have II also?
