Location of MKO 1BR

We still have 2 more Marriott weeks in our generic II account and thought we may want to try to trade into MKO again. We have been very lucky in the past, exchanging a studio and a 1BR in return for 2 weeks of 2BR (Dedicated) Ocean View at Na'ia. We also exchanged into 2 weeks of 3BR at Moana with our two 1BRs.

Anyway, we just put in an on-going request with a 1BR and we wonder if we are matched to a 1BR, are those typically located at Moana and Kona towers?

You traded a studio and a 1 bedroom and got a 2bedroom for each trade. I assume this was within flex time? Or are you saying you placed a request and they matched the studio with a two bedroom without you asking?

It will mostly be in kona and moana as all the 2brs in these towers are lockoffs. There are no dedicated 2br units in kona and moana. In naia, only 3 or 4 of the 2br units are lockoffs per floor if i remember correctly.

We have stayed in all towers on II exchanges.

Placed OGS with studio and got matched with 2BR Oceanview at MKO. I had snagged the first week with instant exchange with my 1BR and since the studio could not see the other 2BRs, I put OGS on it and was matched over night. Both at 6 months before, for Dec 2015. Those were the days before room upgrade fees.

Thought my reply was about your experience exchanging into mko. Since you didn't pay the fee it must be another tugger.

I miss those days of no upgrade fee. The only upside I have noticed since the upgrade fee has been implemented is more 2br units available to exchange into.
