I am taking a group of friends to Las Vegas for my husbands Birthday in a few weeks.
We will go out to dinner one night but the next day will be a relaxing day by the pool and dinner in our three bedroom unit.

I am looking for a grocery store /supermarket nearby where I could order wraps/sandwiches and cold salads to have for lunch (I would pick this up) and then a "local" type pizza place/Italian restaurant to get pizza and maybe some trays of hot food for dinner - this I would like to have delivered.
We did get foods from a local grocery store about 5 years ago but can not remember who we used.

Also a recommendation for a nearby non strip priced Liquor store that delivers???? If there is such a thing!

Thanks in advance.

There is now an onsite small restaurant where you can also buy wraps/sandwiches/salads and hot entrees - steak etc at Grand Chateau.

Since Vegas area restaurants are generally a little pricier than elsewhere, prices at the onsite restaurant are not any higher than what you can get nearby.

Opposite the Grand Chateau is Planet Hollywood and the Miracle Mile associated with Planet Hollywood. There are 2 ABC stores there. When we stay at MGC, we would walk across regularly to nice restaurants - I love the Italian restaurant there called Lombardi, and pick up simple stuff from ABC store. Based on my memory, you can get liquor from the ABC store.

MGC had a shuttle that took guests to Albertson several times a week and I do not know if they still do that.

Thanks....just what I wanted to know!
I do believe Albertsons is the store where we ordered the sandwiches and cold salads.
I can ask the concierge where the closest one is.
Then I can compare their prices to the lobby restaurant.

I plan on getting a rental car for a few days to make picking up beer wine soda liquor for a group of 18 easier. As the week goes on there are less people.

Some of the guests are staying at Hilton Elara so that is easy to do.
I can check with Lombardi as to whether they do take out.

Thanks again!

It's not Italian, but if you like Chinese, we've gotten takeout at PF Chang's, which is across the street at Planet Hollywood.

Another great option.

At Grand Chateau now (37th floor). I haven't had a rent a car for the entire week and it is great. Uber or Lyft is the way to go. To the Albertson's Uber is about $8 and there is a Jason's Deli about a block away too. Safeway is short ways down from Albertson's if you prefer that. Tip using Uber/Lyft - pickup at the Grand Chateau no issues - if you go to the Albertson's wait inside until Uber is there - otherwise panhandlers bother you.

Also Uber is way better from the Airport to Grand Chateau than renting a car. The Vegas rental car center is far from the terminal and Grand Chateau is close to the airport to start with - so it's a waste to spend all the time getting to and from the terminal and rental car center. If I would rent a car I would rent Hertz from Planet Hollywood across the street.

BTW - At Bellagio yesterday they got water in their electrical center and lost all power. The stop lights went out in front and a lady smashed pretty hard into another car not realizing they were out. They carted her off in an ambulance but no serious injuries. Just another reason Uber is better.

Thanks for the car tip. Is there a liquor store near the Albertsons? I would like to pick up my deli pre order - buy beer and mixers there and then liquor. Or is there a liquor store nearby that will deliver to the hotel?!?

Really appreciate all these tips.
I am going to do PF Chang for Sunday night dinner in unit.

We might rent for a few days. Thanks for the tip on Hettz. Some guests are staying at Planet Hollywood/Hilton Elara.

And def will uber from airport. ❤️

If you're renting a car, you might want to take a trip to Costco in Henderson (9 miles from the strip). There is a closer one on Martin Luther King but it's a business center so won't have all the things in a regular Costco. Henderson is a regular Costco and you can get all the drinks, snacks, sandwich trays, alcohol and even a few dishes you can bake. Roasted chicken and ribs ready to eat plus shrimp trays. One stop shopping especially if you have 18 people coming.

We always rent a car at the airport while we're there as its cheap and convenient.

Costco is a good option. Get everything in one trip. Could Uber back and forth if we don't get a car.
Although a one day car rental from hertz across the street would be cheaper then Uber I am sure!
Will check that out.

And who knows, you may find someone in your group that would enjoy a Costco trip!

Pat, remember you can buy liquor in the grocery stores. :)

Secret Pizza at the Cosmopolitan has very good pizza and is a nine minute walk from the Grand Chateau.

There is a Vons Supermarket on Tropicana about 2 miles away. It is close to the airport entrance.
