As a DC points owner staying at the Ocean Club over the Christmas holiday week (or any other week for that matter) am I able to use the pool and other amenities at the Surf Club and can a DC points owner staying at Surf Club use the pool and other amenities at Ocean Club? I was told that upon arrival you are given a 'bracelet' - does that bracelet restrict where one can go vis-a-vis the Marriott properties?

No pool sharing privileges between the two MVC resorts.

I don't believe you'll get a bracelet at the OC-unless you opt for the key that is programmed into a bracelet. At the SC, they use at bracelet to identify SC guests at their pools and the Lazy River. You will get to use the Marriott Stellaris pools-all except the adult pool.

The OC and the hotel share fitness facilities. You may use the hotel pool, but not the adult pool. The OC beach facilities are the best of the 3 resorts. We will be there 12/18- 1/1 so if you have any questions let me know.

He is referring to the Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino next door to the Ocean Club.

Whoops..thanks. That's not a JW.

One thing to consider is if you have the points to spare, you could book the cheapest studio room possible at Surf Club, and then use the pool amenities on the day of check-in and the day of check-out. We do that at Aulani when we are staying at Ko Olina -- we go down to use the water park during the applicable days. It's a nice excursion.

Best,

Greg

We do something similar at the Aruba Ren. Get a cheap AAA room so we can go the Private Island two different days. We can shower and change in the room and recover/have a drink at the pool. Usually for about $150 for a room or $200 for an island suite. Not a bad deal.

Interesting- how many passes comes with each room at the Aruba Ren.?

If you get a regular room, you get two passes. A suite comes with four.
