The reason I ask is because of a sentence in the Wyndham Guide. "Lockoff units require the total number of Housekeeping Credits
for the two (2) units combined"

I've never heard the term "lockoff" before. I assume it's something similar to what hotels call adjoining rooms. Correct me if I'm wrong.

The reason I ask is because some of the resorts seem to offer a 1 bedroom as a lockoff. If I booked that, would I be charged the HK for a 2 bedroom even though I only booked the one bedroom?

Or am I way off base as to what a lockoff is?

You are correct that a lockoff is the same as a adjoining room. for instance a 2 BR Lockoff would often be a 1BR suite and and a 1BR deluxe. However the rules have changed as far as the HK cost. Before the new rules a 2BR lockoff would have been charged as 2-1BRs or 63 HK *2 which equals 126 HK. With the new rules, it is charged the same as any other 2BR or 77 HK

Here's an example of a lock off unit. This is one of two types of lock offs at Ocean Walk in Daytona. It consists of a 1BR Deluxe unit and a 1BR Suite.

The lock off doors are just inside the door of the larger unit. Either side can lock off the other side -- just like in some adjacent rooms in hotels.
