l had a two night reservation at Nashville. This morning I checked "my reservations" and was amazed that I had five reservations lnstead of one for the same date. I am PR so l called the VC there and explained I only need one reservation. So she cancelled the first reservation and lost all five. She tied to retrieve one, but it went into the black hole. I was then transferred to owner relations an after a 25-30 minute hold I spoke with a rep. She was also unable to retrieve the reservation. I was given a case number and told she would work with leadership and inventory to get this corrected. The reservation is in 20 days, so I left shafted of a reservation. Needless to say I am not a happy camper!

Dear Tyles,
Sorry to hear your story & that your first post on TUG was caused by ( another ) Wyndham
computer issue .

We are also PR and had numerous issues with reservations showing up multiple times on our account. However they only show up once for the VC's and it is just us that sees them more than once. The way to tell is that they all have the same confirmation number. I'm guessing the VC didn't really pay attention to what you told her and didn't look your reservations over before cancelling the only reservation you actually had.

A Wyndham representative screwed up and you suffer. As PR owners we are supposed to have the VC's with the highest level of training. There are still a lot of good ones but since last summer I've had some really bad ones. And of course those are always the ones I don't get a survey at the end of the call for or an email for a survey about them either. Our son works for a major insurance company call center so I know more than most people about call centers and the levels of training and competence of the people employed at them.

Don't depend on owner care to find you something, you need to keep searching for your reservation, it might come back.

Advice worth repeating for everyone!

So sorry for your issue. There really needs to be a department for making things right WYN screwups - especially those caused by the new computer system. Surely someone, somewhere, has the ability to do what needs to be done (find a room and give it to you - resorts work at low 90% capacity/occupancy rates). So frustrating! I hope this works out for you.

In your paragraph you stated, "I was given a case number and told she would work with leadership and inventory to get this corrected." Leadership approved the train wreak we know as the new website. Leadership crammed the new and unimproved website down our throats. Leadership lines their pockets by allowing sales weasels to reached into your pockets and take you your money through lies, twisted facts and half truths. Leadership can freeze your account without due process. Saying all that, do you really believe leadership will help you? In my opinion Leadership should be charged with racketeering, fraud and unethical business practice.

Unfortunately I have been forced to deal with "leadership" many times over the years, and no I do expect to get much help from them. I enjoy my vacation experience with Wyndham, but I have a very low regard for their so called owner relations department. Painfully I now realize that I mean much less to them now that they have gotten all the dollars they can out of. As suggested I continue to search for a vacancy, but I think I am screwed. Thanks for your input and suggestions!

Be on the lookout at the 15 day mark. My guess is your reservation might pop.up then. Why? I cannot give you a good reason. Just a hunch.

Well, lo and behold my reservation popped up this afternoon, so I quickly booked it. As expected no help from the big boys. I did request the difference in points that I had to pay for a 2 bedroom be restored to my account since I had an upgrade from a one bedroom suite. Will wait and see and keep you posted.

I was pretty sure your reservation would come back. The big trick and headache is being online to catch it when it comes back. Yes folks, cancelled reservations are often coming back at random times. Don't just assume they go to someone else's automatic upgrade or that Wyndham grabbed it for Extra Holidays.
