Thanks, I love being spoon feed info from Youtube. Have not viewed them yet but do you know if the info is up to date, many new clubs with varied booking rules i.e. HCNY, 57th St., HRCs, etc....
Thanks again for the information!

I only looked at the one about savings your points. VERY light on the details and nothing about the fees. I give it a 2/5.
But that's the only one I looked at.

Do they have a video on how to borrow points when making a reservation?

I didn't see one on the help page. I assume you know that borrowing points is really automatic. If you don't have enough points for the current year reservation (for example 2017), it will pull from next years points (for example 2018). If you try to make a reservation in 2018 now, you will need to have enough 2018 available points because it will not pull from year 2019. {I think that I stated that correctly, but if not then please obviously correct}

No, I did not know it was automatic. I am looking to make a reservation for 2018 that will use my 'saved' 2017 points as well as my 2018 points. This is very helpful. I thought I had to somehow enable the borrow feature when booking the reservation and was not sure how to do it.

If you save 2017 points into 2018 (before making 2018 reservation), it will automatically pull from 2017 points first and then 2018 points. Now, this is only for club reservations, because home week reservations must come from that year's points.

Actually, you can borrow points from the following year's for a reservation you're making. Example: Borrow 2018 points for a reservation in 2017 or borrow 2019 points for a reservation in 2018 which you're making in 2017, since Club Reservations are now open for 2018. What you cannot do is borrow 2020 points for a reservation in 2018, in case you've used/borrowed all your 2019 points.

To clarify, if that's possible...
1. To use 2017 points for a 2018 stay, you must first "save" the 2017 points for use in 2018.
2. Your 2018 stay pulls points in this order: (1) saved points, (2) 2018 points, (3) points from 2019.
-- Borrowing is automatic. There is no need to do anything. --

BTW, RCI is a different kettle of fish.
You can use current-year points to make a future year RCI booking without saving them first.
But not previously saved points due to expire 12/31, unless you first deposit them to the RCI Program.

.

Thanks, I stand corrected.
