Resurfacing an existing boating boat dock?

Our dock is sturdy but could definitely use resurfacing. Any suggestions? It is built with treated lumber that is becoming rough.

I'm in the same situation so I hope you get some ideas/recommendations! I'm thinking of using that roll on coating like you use around a pool.

My old dock had pressure treated wood that started to check and warp, while the galvanized nails rusted away and the boards became dangerous to walk on. We had the whole dock re-decked with vinyl decking and stainless hardware. The vinyl squeaks a little when you walk on it but it will never rot. There are also some man-made materials that look like wood, but I thought that was a bit expensive for my needs.

I've seen advertisements for refurbishing wooden decks where they spray a rubberized coating, sort of like what they do in a pickup bed lining. Would that be an option for a dock w/o replacing the wood?

I think that pvc-that-looks-like-wood decking has become enormously popular. zero maintenance and something like a 50 year warranty?

is far more expensive though!
