Congrats to you! I believe I am three nights away which I will earn very soon. I hope that we get some benefit from this!

Best,

Greg

Congratulations.

Last week I found that DH also made it to Lifetime Platinum. No more juggling reservations to build to this, first for me , then hubby.

Greg, what benefits do you expect beyond the ones we were already getting as Platinum? The only one I see is the freedom from juggling the reservations. Am I missing something?

That's is a great mile stone. Congratulation to you on a outstanding achievement.:cheer:

Congrats on yout achievment!

On a other note, anybody want to swap some points for nights? Got over 900 nights but no where enough points. Need close to 1.7 mil more points. Will gladly do a trade with a point rich night poor owner.

I'm only lifetime gold and it would have take another few years to reach lifetime platinum, but because of our DC status affecting MR status, we go platinum in February.

Questions: With our Marriott properties which are in a trust tied into my MR, upon my death, how does this status continue for either my wife or daughter. Is it just a matter of contacting Marriott to have a new association set up for the next MR member via the trust? Can my wife continue to use my MR status and points or does she have to have everything moved over. Sorry, I didn't check to see if there's a sticky on this.

I also just turned Lifetime Platinum:) I see in some places it is referred to as Platinum Premier???

Platinum Premier is separate from Lifetime Platinum. I was Platinum Premier multiple years before Lifetime Platinum. In theory PP is a level above Platinum with no added benefits. I have not seen much difference between Platinum and Platinum Premier. Lifetime Platinum should be the benefit of Platinum without needed to meet the qualifications of Platinum.

frank808, Are you just being funny or is there really a way to exchange points for nights? Just wondering. . .

jd2601, That's the same way I understand Lifetime vs. Platinum. No more perks, simply no struggle each year to get the 75 nights.

That is exactly what it is.

There is no way to do this.

Just being sarcastic. Wish we could do this. At this rate I'll never hit lifetime platinum.

Congratulations. Don't forget to sign up for the airlines programs. As a Marriott platinum you get United Silver. Now that SPG and Marriott are linked you become SPG platinum and now qualify for Delta's first tier. I think it's silver.

Not great programs but I think you get a bag free so it helps. Getting 3 additional program status levels for one Marriott platinum status is pretty good.

I was Platiunum premier for 3-4 years but never noticed any difference.

Frank- ironic that will all your nights you are so far off because of miles. I think your only shot would be the credit card.

On a side note, I'll be at Ko Olina May 10-20. Let me know if you'll be around to meet up.

Only getting 150000 mrp a year with the marriott credit card. Its going to be at least 13 more years at thks pace. But as long as they are counting mvc nights I'll hit platinum yearly.

Will meet up here at mko for sure in may. I have may 13 to 20 so far for mothers day. Hoping to fill in the other weeks. So far got most of the major holiday weeks booked at mko. Now i need to get the rest.
