Which is the safest way to move/deposit my 2016 pts into RCI? Phone Wyndham or do it online?

I also want to credit pool my 2017 & 2018 pts. Can I do both with one phone call?

TIA

I have only ever deposited points to RCI online, and it is super simple to do that way. However, if you are calling to credit pool your 2017 and 2018 points, you will be calling anyway so I suppose you could also do the RCI deposit then if you have a free RT available. If you need to pay for an RT, it will be cheaper to do the RCI deposit online than with a human on the phone.

Right. It'll be the pooling fee + a RT for the RCI deposit regardless. If there's a free RT available, there's no reason not to do the deposit on the phone at the same time as pooling if OP feels like it. But if OP has to pay for the RT, it's definitely better to do the RCI deposit online.

As a Wyndham newbie I didn't realize there was RT fee for moving/dep. pts into RCI. I'll just do it online & then call and pool 2017/18 pts.

Thanks

Is there anywhere on the website that shows how many RTs you have?

If you start to book a reservation. It will show you how many RTs you have. You get 1 per 77k points each January 1. If you have any left on Jan 1 they go away.

you also pay to pool EACH use year, not just for pooling.

If you're booking a reservation for the upcoming year, does the RT come from the current year you're booking in or the use year the reservation will be in?

RTs are put in your account every Jan 1 (1 RT for each 77k points) they expire on Dec. 31 regardless of your use year. RTs do not relate to a use year. Also you can make as many reservation as you want, whenever you want with 1 RT on the same day.

In looking at moving my 2016 pts to RCI, online, it says I must pay 63 HKC and 1RT. Would this be the same as if I did it with a phone call?

I do have the RT and HKC to burn.
