Hello:

I'm looking to buy a 1br premium, annual, platinum at SVV in either of the mandatory phases.

Would anyone who has purchased this unit be willing to share the price they paid? You can PM me if you would prefer. I found one listed for 5k, but I'm not sure if that is high, low, or the going rate. Any help would be appreciated.

That seems high. A quick search yielded a few options you might wish to consider here.

Also found this for $1,200 on the TUG marketplace.

Good luck!

As a point of comparison, a few years ago I paid ~$3k all-in, for a 2 bdrm lockoff at SVV Bella worth 95,700 SOs. That was a tad high, but I wanted the extra SOs so that I could bank one year and have enough SOs to stay in a platinum 2 bdrm unit, many of which now cost 176,700 SOs.

I don't believe 1BR premium units were sold separately. There are only 1BR deluxe, 2BR (non-lockoff) and 2BR lockoff units. Key West also has 3BR lockoff units. In Prime Season, 1BR is worth 44,000, 2BR 81,000 and 2BR lockoff 95,700 and in High Season, 1BR is 37,000, 2BR 67,100 and 2BR lockoff 81,000.

In 2014 we purchased two SVV 2 bdrm annual units for $1000 total. The first unit in Bella was offered for $1500. I posed a question on TUG about the value. Due to that posting, another person messaged me and said he would give me a Key West 2 bdrm annual for free. I made an offer of $1000 on the first unit and it was accepted. Both were closed by LT Transfers for under $300 each. Of course we paid the current year's MFs as the units had not been used.

We have used the two 67,100 SO's for two weeks in a studio at Kaanapali North in the last two Januaries. We also own at both WKORV and WKORVN, but I have either rented them or let family members use them.

I occasionally see Bella and Key West units for sale here for prices under $2,000.

Have fun!

You aren't the first person to tell me that, but I found this listing:

http://www.sellmytimesharenow.com/timeshares/index/content/details/AdNumber/1874665/sale/

It seems that it is what I am looking for, I just can't justify paying 5k for a 1br when the 2br units can be had for so much less. I would get the 2br, but I don't need that much space and I don't want to pay the higher maintenance fees for a larger unit than I need.

Am I missing something? Thanks for all the responses and PMs.

Just because they are offering it in the ad doesn't mean that is what they really own. You would think that after paying so much to advertise and having to go through a broker instead of talking directly to seller, the details would all be verified but they aren't. My experience is they have never ordered an estopel and do that during their "verification process" after they have a deal in place. At that point you may find out that the points are wrong or that it really isn't in Bella, etc.

Since you aren't interested in paying $5000 offer them your all in (including all their admin and closing fees) and ask if they have a resale sheet (estopel).

The link i offered is free but i understand what you are saying about the taxes.

Just make sure that people are doing the MF correctly. The reason i say that is, I've seen so many people include state taxes and the membership fee Whereas others strictly state just the MF on its own.

Example. My BIL told me his MF was $1400 for Kierland (148100 SO). When i googled and searched around, i saw the same maintenance fee ranging from 1400-1650. When i purchased my unit, the previous owners stated maintenance fee was ~ $1600.
Now that i have the unit, i see that MF is $1400 + state tax + membership, totaling $1600.

I think i've also seen threads on TUG stating that Florida has one of the most expensive taxes for timeshare ownership, but i could be wrong.

I think Hawaii is the most expensive.

I think Hawaii is the most expensive.

lol, hence the i said one of the most :) I also meant it as relative to MF's.
I just grabbed this from the thread above on 2016 MF.

SVR
Maintenance Fee(s) $ 985.41
Tax - If Applicable $ 166.35

So what I was trying to say, some people include MF, Tax and member ship fee as part of the MF fee. Others just state the MF fees, so you have to make sure you're comparing apples to apples.

Where as my WKV
MF - $1406
Tax if applicable - $52
Membership Fee - $140

Just wanted to thank all the responders and the people who PMd me on this. Ended up going with a 1br EOY instead of an annual. That should be enough Disneyworld :) Won it on EBay today for $505!

I was watching that auction too. Mainly out of curiosity since we just closed on a 2BR annual 81K week. I was interested to see what it would go for. As an add on to an existing ownership, it is pretty good. An EOY VSN week as a single ownership isn't as good because you have to pay the $140 VSN fee every year, driving up the overall cost per SO.

If you really only wanted something to go to Disney World with, there were other options that would have been free or close to it. You could have bought in to one of the voluntary phases of SVV or a unit at SVR. 2BR voluntary units are often free. Thought the mandatory unit gives you the added flexibility of SOs when you don't want to go to Orlando for not much more in purchase price.

Congrats on the purchase -- I bid $411 on this with 5 seconds left. I'm glad it went to a TUGger!!!

Best,

Greg

btw, you got a smokin' deal on your 81K Annual -- congrats. I agree that this week is good as part of a portfolio, but not as practical as a single week because of the $140 fee. But it's a great one to start with!

Best,

Greg

Gool luck, I am still waiting for my menbership since i purchase to SEAN0302 on ebay in march 2015....

What membership - II or SVN (VSN)? If the deed is transferred, then a call to VSE will resolve any membership issue very easily.

I think that is the problem. They are still waiting for the signed deed.

I was watching this one too. I thought about bidding around $500 but didn't pull the trigger. I own an every other year 81,000 points at SVV that cost $750 a few years ago.
