booking floating platinum week- mountainside

Hello all, looking for more advice from the experts.
Thinking of buying(resale) floating platinum ski week at marriott mountainside.
I am a little concerned about being able to book the week of my choice, because of all the myriad of rules about booking. i.e. multiple week owners can book early, DC point owners can book, etc.

So the question is; If I buy a resale floating week at marriott mountainside(platinum season) will I be able to book week#1 a year in advance.

As long as week 1 is not a fixed week (I think you are correct, it is floating) and you are online at the stroke of 9am eastern time, you will be successful. In my experience, the January weeks are not feverishly in demand - this distinction falls to the spring break weeks in March.

Just in case you're not aware of the inventory metrics:

- Weeks inventory that has not been given up by Weeks Owners for other usage must be available to Weeks Owners for booking according to the reservations rules. Meaning, if X% of the existing Weeks Owners in good standing have not elected other usage, at the Weeks Reservation Window openings there will be X% inventory available to book. At some point closer to the check-in days there may be some mingling of inventory among the Weeks and DC buckets that changes the percentage/metric but it doesn't happen immediately at the window openings.

- Although owners of multiple Weeks can use the 13-mos Reservation Window when booking consecutive/concurrent Weeks, 50% of the available inventory is held back for the 12-mos Reservation Window. So multiple-Week Owners get a jump but it's never true that all inventory can be reserved prior to the 12-mos window opening/to the detriment of Owners booking single Weeks.

- Weeks and DC Points inventory is kept separate at the window openings, and, the Reservation Windows for DC Points usage generally open a couple/few days after the corresponding windows for Weeks usage. So DC users cannot get access to, or a jump on Weeks Owners for, the same intervals.

It will always be true that the highest-demand intervals will not be available to every Weeks/DC Points Owners who desire them, and always true that if you're trying to book the highest-demand intervals you should do your best to get in the queue the minute the Reservation Windows open at 9AMEastern. It's still no guarantee that you'll get a high-demand reservation but with the highest-demand inventory it's practically your only shot.

Input your desired check-in dates and you'll get the release dates for all window openings.
