We received a call from diamond International offering a 5 night stay at Cabo or Cancun, all inclusive for 149 per person, to be used within 18 months. I usually am wary or paying and then trying to book. Has anyone had experience with this offer. We have stayed at Diamond in Maui and had a good experience

We stayed at DRI Maui also, and they keep calling with offers like that. I can't imagine it includes the AI fees at that price, only lodging. I'm not interested in mandatory attendance at one of their sales presentations so I always decline the offers. Did you take the presentation in Maui and consider it pleasant?

We received a call from...

That usually is an indication of a scam or, at best, a questionable offer. I'm guessing that if you were to accept that offer, they would want you to give your credit card info over the phone...to a total stranger.

If the offer does look tempting, I would ask the person to send you, either in writing or in e-mail, all the details and fine print and then ask for time to mull it over.

I've received similar calls. When I told them that I would not be immediately giving my credit card info and that I wanted time to look over the terms of the agreement, they refused.
