Any advice for the best way to upgrade from a 1-bedroom to a 2-bedroom at the resort I own? Ideally I would like to go to a 2-bedroom every other year. Is there any chance a broker who specializes at my resort may be willing to work with me? I own at Bay Club Hawaii, a resort managed by HGVC.

The cheapest way to do it is to sell or give away the one bedroom, and buy a 2 bdm. on the resale market.

If your unit is enrolled in HGVC, you may borrow points for free from the next year, which will give you more than enough points for a 2-bedroom every other year.

If you pay the small fee to join HGVC (I beleive that it is around $500) you can then do as Linsj suggested. Bank your points from one year and then use 2 year's worth of points the next year and you'll have plenty of points for a 2 bd for about 9 days.

This is far better than selling your current TS and buying another. ( if you didn't have the option of joining HGVC you would have to sell and buy another TS)

Thanks everyone for the feedback. Yes I belong to HGVC and I have been banking my points for a 2-bed. It would just be more cost efficient to pay a 2-bed maintenance fee every other year vs a 1-bed fee annually (approx $1,393 every two yrs vs $1,187 annually). Not sure there is actually a viable option for me because I know it would be hard for me to sell.

For the difference between the two fees (~$200) I'd continue to just carry on the way you're going. You may want or need a 2 bd now but in a few years a 1 bd may fit your needs more.

Good Luck

Now to get a 2 br EOY use from her 1 br she pays $2350 per use. She was looking for a 2 br EOY where she would pay $1400 per use.

if you exchange your 1 bdrm via RCI you can get a 2 bdrm. I've been doing this for years. Only thing, RCI exchange fee is now $219. But that's only $31.29 a night all for a second bedroom but only when you need it. Also put your request in far in advance. My Bay Club exchange becomes available 14 months prior to check in.

This to me would be your simplest & cheapest option. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

Have you considered just renting what you need from the bay club at owner preferred rental rates (if available ). Other option. .get lower mf mainland eoy point (like orlando or Vegas gold season ) for next to nothing and use those points as supplement. .
