We will be at Ocean Pointe starting New Year's Eve for 10 days. Does anyone know of any decent casino dinner cruises or are we better off just going to the Hard Rock Casino for an evening.
Thanks

One time we took the "Free Las Vegas Casino Cruise" out of Port Canaveral FL -- $5 for round-trip bus transportation from our Kissimmee FL timeshare, otherwise free.

They advertised Las Vegas Games & Las Vegas Buffet & Las Vegas Entertainment. What's not to like ?

The reality did not quite measure up. The buffet was white bread & bologna & potato chips & boiled eggs & kool aid & not much else.

The entertainment was a guy with a boom box & a steel-pan drum on the lower deck, & on the upper deck a guy with an electric guitar & a drum machine, plus a girl singer who joined in on some tunes.

Once the ship got out past the 3-mile limit, the slot machines were activated & the table games started. The ship cruised a lazy circuit just beyond the limit for 3-4 hours, then returned to port with its captive audience. Those were 3-4 hours we will never get back.

On the return bus trip, the bus conked out just 2 miles or so from our timeshare. I was tempted to get out & walk, then drive back & pick up The Chief Of Staff. But that 2-mile distance was straight line, through swamps & palmettos, etc. Walking distance might have been closer to 5 miles, I don't know. And it was past midnight. So we waited till they got the bus going, & got back to our timeshare condo late.

Las Vegas is 1 thing. The free "Las Vegas Cruise" out of Port Canaveral FL is something else again. We learned that the hard way. You don't have to.

Hi Luvtoride,

You don't have to drive up to Port Canaveral for a Casino Cruise.

Check out http://bluehorizoncasinocruises.com/

Click on the Dining & Entertainment tab to view your dining options.

I have not been on this Cruise but you can probably find some reviews online.
