Looking for feedback on Club Wyndham Access. We currently have 189K points at a deeded property in Destin. I also convert a fixed week into 154K PIC Points. Have been contacted by Corporate about buying into the CWA, Telling me I'll have a fixed maintenance fee of $134 and it will never go up. Usually sounds too good to be true. Was pressured into this in 2013 and had enough forethought to cancel when we got home. Now 2 years later the cost has come down significantly. Does this just open up more properties to book into earlier? We typically travel to NOLA and FL and as long as I plan accordingly I can get what I want.

If you can already get what you want, why give them more money? As for the maintenance fees never going up, that's BS.

You'll never make up money you spent on developer points, so unless your goal is VIP, it's not with it.

CWA is great if you want to ARP into somewhere difficult and if you are able to get on the phone at 8 AM ET 13 months out. Otherwise a low maintenance fee CWP will always be lower than CWA fees, because CWA is an average of low to high and will therefore always be "average."

Don't get me wrong, if I were young and just starting out in Wyndham I would go CWA because of the ARP virtually anywhere.

If you have interest in CWA, now may be a good time to buy, as there seems to be a window of opportunity due to a number of CWA contracts all hitting at the same time.

I have picked up a couple myself this week, at prices that were not possible just a few weeks ago.

I started out with deeded points and have now begun picking up CWA contracts, mostly for the ARP For high demand weeks. This gives me more flexibility in destination options.

It isn't true that the maintenance fees will never go up.

I have noticed this as well. Most of them multi 100K ones as well. Any idea why all of a sudden so many large CWA contracts showing up for resale?

Yes, the traditional buyers for the larger CWA contracts that buy them before they ever hit eBay are not currently buying. It's the possibility that this is indicating a new downward trend, rather than a temporary event, that has some of us concerned.

Because they are closing out their positions... and have moved from buyers to sellers.

How do I know if I have a CWA Wyndham or not?

CWA is not deeded to a specific resort, but is a "membership". Do you have a deed filed that specifies a resort?
