Hi

I'm still waiting on an answer on my ROFR. If I would like to ask Hilton for a status, which department do I ask for when calling HGVC?

Regards

I'm not sure, but I don't think Hilton in exercising ROFR presently. See this thread. Is this the property you asked about in the thread back in July? I've been following prices for West 57th Street since October and they're down 20% at Judi's site and elsewhere. When I purchased my property I had to call the closing agent to find out if Hilton had signed off on ROFR. No one bothered contacting me.

Thanks for answering.

I'm buying into the strip in Vegas. Hopefully it goes through.

Since I'm kinda impatient I thought about calling hgvc to see how far the ROFR process has got.

Regards.

I have called 407-722-3144, the Membership Support Group which issues the estoppels.

Typically, they're entitled to take up to 30 days to respond to a notice of sale.
Seven years ago, I did my own closing and they took ~3 weeks to send a waiver.

It sure would be nice if their transfer-peep were more transparent with the process.

Dears,

I had the result from Judikoz that my resale passed ROFR. It took around 3 weeks

Nice follow up from them!

Just called them, and their answer was that they weren't allow to discuss the contract for privacy reasons.

I thought that I could call Hilton for a status but it seems I can not?

Translation: "Phone calls invade our privacy. We don't like it. Go away."

Since you are not the owner of the contract, they probably cannot talk about it with you. You should ask your seller to call HGVC on your behalf.

Closing agent

Dears,

To check onROFR should be the closing agent job, no? You pay them money to make sure everything goes smoothly and to follow up,is one of these things

You are correct, but since i'm kinda impatient I wanted to do the followup my self.

My thinking was, why ask somebody else to do, what you can do yourself.

But it turns out that I do need to ask the closing agent. I still need to wait a few more weeks to get the answer.:wall:

regards
