Question about RCI

We usually go to our timeshare at Orange Lake on week #37. This year we need to change to week #39. If we join RCI will we be able to trade back into Orange Lake?
 
To get the exchange, someone else has to have deposited the exact week you want.

I recommend that you post a "Sightings Request," in the Sightings and Distressed Forum, and someone can check availability for you.

*Orlando has a lot of availability, and Sept. is off-season - if you are open to other resorts, you can almost certainly get something.
 
I could not find a forum called Sightings and Distressed. Is there another forum name?
 
That is where i looked. Is the Sighting and Distressed forum shown under another. So sorry but I cannot find it.
 
The exchange companies sometimes have a regional block. We own in Williamsburg and exchange back into Williamsburg through RCI, so I know there's no block there. But there might be one in Orlando for exchanging back into your own resort. Maybe other members here can tell you about this.
 
Do you mean join RCI this year and then deposit your week 37 and exchange for a week 39? It may be a little late for that in 2015. It can take 2-3 weeks to get an RCI account set up and verified. It will be fairly late then to deposit a week 37.

That's a very real possibility for Orlando so before you deposit with RCI, you'd want to get some clarification on that.
 
I think very few fixed week resorts would restrict you from exchanging back into your home resort through RCI since for most that is the only way they could come during a different week.
 
Good point about the regional block.
But, as far as I know, the only regional block in Orlando is for exchanging into Disney with an Orlando resort.

1. Unless you were going to pay all the fees, you weren't "giving"

2. We don't permit people to resell AC's in the discussion forums, even if they are cheap - believe me - there are a lot of people who would jump all over that as a money maker. Due to abuses in the past, we have a firm line regarding this.

3. Why didn't you send them a private message? Why post in the forums?

2) I wasnt reselling, but I do see that it's hard to tell when someone is reselling if money is being exchanged. FWIW, the though of "selling" didnt cross my mind.

1) Dont mean to pick, but plenty of free deals in the bargain bin involve the "buyer" paying something, like closing costs.

Thank you for understanding, and yes, in the Bargain Deals forum, and the Last Minute Rental Forum, you ARE permitted to charge $$$ - but not in any of the other discussion forums.

Even if you are giving something away, please post it in Bargain Deals, Last Minute Rentals, or Distressed - not the regular discussion forums. Or use a private message.

Before you start messing with RCI, maybe you could call Orange Lake and ask if they would be able to do an exchange like this for you? I think some resorts will do this for their owners.
 
I agree, I would ask Orange Lake.
