Been waiting for points to be credited to my account for a resale purchase of a CWA contract. Wyndham says "four to six weeks from receipt of the paperwork". No deed etc... Just transfer of ownership of a participation in the Trust within the Wyndham system. They must have quite a bottleneck in their paper flow from all those retail sales happening this summer.......

Four to six weeks is pretty much the low end of their timeframe. I sent them a deed on May 20th and it hit my account yesterday.

Two hundred and ninety-nine dollars ($299) for 5 minutes of work is ridicules. And taking 4 to 6 weeks is even more ridicules. But they have the market cornered on Wyndham deed transfers so they can charge as much as they want and take as long as they want. In a way they remind me of the DMV.

4-6 weeks? It's often more like 6-8 weeks for deeded points. And it's ridiculous that a CWA contract which does not involve filing a deed usually takes longer than deeded points.

I believe they do this because in the end it causes some contracts to be transferred too late to use the points or too late to use the ARP so the points get used during a lower demand period.

I just called Wyndham today to check on our transfer and they told me 4 to 6 weeks from the date they received it. She was so friendly she even verified for me the date of receipt!

Wyndham would not gain anything from this, so why would Wyndham care?

I have had Club Plus deeds transferred in as little as four weeks. I think the timing is just, "It is what it is" and not some nefarious scheming on the part of Wyndham.

Unused points means unbooked units. Wyndham can rent these out and make something off them.

One must wonder if they are inundated with deedbacks from Ovation...

I believe we had a post similar to this last year. From Spring until the late fall they are always behind. My speculation is people buy as they are gearing up for summer travel.

But as I've said right around the Christmas holidays the resale contract winning bids are normally cheaper, and they get processed faster. Everytime I've bought during this time frame my contract posted on the 6th week to the day.

Its been 12 weeks from the signing of the contracts, and Wyndham has had the paperwork for three, so on Wyndham's timetable, I've got 3 weeks to go, with plenty of 2015 left to use the current year points. Thank you Wyndham back office, said no one ever :):):):)

I believe Christmas timeframe is the best time to buy resell. I bought some fantastic contracts (high points at high demand location) over the Christmas timeframe throughout the years. One time on Christmas Day in 2007 while at Wyndham Ocean Walk I bought slightly over a million points contract for Wyndham Ocean Walk on eBay for under $1000. I was surprised I wasn't snipped in the last few seconds.

And those were the GOOD OLD DAYS ... I got a 1MM contract for $1050 ....
