Just got off the phone with a Wyndham Vacation Counselor due to my adding a guest confirmation about 2 days ago (on line - $99) and supplying an incorrect address for the guest. They wanted to charge me the $129 phone-in fee for correcting the guest's address (said any time a change is required to a guest confirmation it negates the previous GC and a new one must be generated). I was nice and they made a 'one time exception' (with a warning about getting it correct the first time).

Sure will be more careful in the future!! You too I hope.

Guest confirmation

Jim, I have had the reps spell the name wrong and put the wrong address on the confirmation. If that happens again the only thing you need to worry about is if the guests name is spelled correctly.

Are you sure about this? It would simplify matters if the only thing that needs to be correct is the name. We often have the name long before the address, and entering at reservation time, even without the address, saves a GC in the case of a split reservation.

Anyone else having extra characters and numbers added to the last name when they try to submit the guest information?

I just used my address for my guest. We will be going in January, I will also be there in my own room, does anyone foresee a problem for my guest ?

I don't know... I suppose your guest could say they moved and the address wasn't updated on their ID. Or they may not check, as the other poster indicated. If you are going to be there and have multiple owners on your account, could you not have had your other owner(s) check in to the other unit and give the guests the keys?

I know some folks who have done their own "check-in" especially if resorts are reasonably close to them or they are already there. Not saying I recommend or condone the practice, and I've never tried it... but if you're short of GCs it beats paying $100.

I use c/o my address when others are using the timeshare.
