[Free] Guest Confirmation Limit??

VIP Platinum - get 30 free guest confirmations - went through those some time ago and have been paying the $99 fee for my guests.

Tonight as I attempted to register a guest it shows zero guest confirmations available and will not allow me to register anyone - I attempted it on several reservations that I have and they all showed zero available.

Is there a limit to the paid guest confirmations that an owner can make and where is that found in the owner's directory which is supposed to be the 'bible'?? I have combed both the written directory and the web site and can find no indication that there is a limit.

Can anyone shed some light on this??

That is a new one on me.

I am sure others TUG posters will have that answer. I agree there is NO LIMIT on the Member's Directory -- which I have read multiple times.
 
Wow. Either you have a bunch more than 1,000,001 points, or you make a lot of 2-3 day reservations for others! I've never heard of a limit on paid GCs, but perhaps a call in to a VC can straighten things out for you.

New one to me to. Did you call reservations and try and have them add one?

It would be nice if my head were attached - then I wouldn't have to spend so much time looking for it!!

Obviously the indication that I had no GC's left was referring to the 'free' GC's that I get each year and not to any maximum limit - I was able to get it to go through OK - that has probably shown zero available for a couple of months now since I used up all of the 'free' ones, but this is the first time that I have paid any attention to it and panicked as a result.

Life is sweet (and sour), but I like sweet and sour.

When they took away unlimited GC from VIP Plat owners I switched up the way I was doing GCs.

I used to do them at time of booking, but people (mainly family and friends) would change their mind and cancel and there went the GC with it.

So when they changed things around I NOW only add the guest name about 30 to 20 days prior to departure. Just ahead of the 15 day cancellation and 15 day duplicate reservations under the same name and we might cancel rule.

As December approaches and I have GC remaining I use them up for whatever I have for known reservations into the next year. GC for the year are counted as used, and NOT for when the reservation actually is. So I burn through what I have left at the end of the year for the next year.

It has reduced the number of GC I use in a year. I usually have a bunch left. And more importantly, I have never had to pay for a GC since the unlimited went away.
