Traveling to above Feb 21-26 for the first time. Two adults, no kids. Any building/unit preference? Any other details that would be helpful?

The last two times we went, we stayed in tower 5 on the fifth floor and it was really nice. We had a pool and lake view.

Tower 6, odd numbered unit.

Tower 6 is flanked by Tower 5 (pool complex and lazy river) and the Wyndham Grand Hotel (pool complex, poolside dining, hotel restaurants). Plus the pool at Tower 6 itself is spectacular.

Second tower 6. Fireworks view equal parking lot view. Lake/pool view no fireworks.
Tower 6, is the newest and has more presidential units.

We're here now in Tower 4, Floor 8 fireworks view. A bit higher would be better for fireworks, but quite honestly after a 1/2 week the novelty has worn off on the kiddos. I would try to get in Tower 6 for the reasons already listed above.

We have stayed here 3 times last year ;) love the property!! I prefer Building 5, pool view. We like the lazy river and the easy walk to the building 4 pool, as it is less crowded with kids than the building 6 pool. (The building 6 pool is shallow and has a pirate water slide). The lobby is far nicer in building 6, and it is a quick walk to parking via the Wyndham Grand, but who stays in the lobby?? I also like lounging by the Grand Pool, it is very nice there as well. I will try and find you the specific unit that we request...it is very private and just in the trees so you can look down but people can't really look up at you when you're drinking coffee in the early morning in your pjs!

I have stayed in building's #2 and #5. If I had a choice, I would not stay in #2 because it is one of the older buildings. We had a lake view and was able to see some of the fireworks. But I felt the building/room was a little run down compared to the time I stayed in building #5. We had issues with our air conditioner and refrigerator.

I liked building #5 because it's proximity to the pools/lazy river and there is a bar right there if you need to run and get a drink/food. I had the lake view when I was there.

You will enjoy your stay.

Layout of the resort:

All buildings/towers are around a large lake which has a walk and jog path.

The resort consists of 6 timeshare buildings/towers and The Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek Hotel. Puerta de Leon, the main building/clubhouse and Building 1 were built in 2004.

The Main building has a lazy river, kiddie water activity feature pool, swimming pool, activities desk, pool towels, La Cantina Grill, game room, board & video game desk, fitness center, business center and arcade. The Main Building is the building next to the check-in lobby which also has a mini market and gift shop. There is a bus stop and you can purchase tickets for the theme parks here.

The Lobby is where you check-in, get a parking pass, buy theme park tickets, make dining reservations and has a gift shop & store. It is next to the Main Building.

Building/Tower 1 (Torre de la Tierra) has a playground. It is across the lake from the Main Building. Between Building/ Tower 1 and 2 is a sand volleyball court. There is no swimming pool at this building. Tower 1 is a short walk to the Main building.

Building/Tower 2 (Torre del Viento) has the miniature golf. It is across the Lake from the Lobby. You must go to an activities desk (Main Building or Tower 6) to get the free rental clubs and golf balls.

Between Building/ Tower 2 and Building/Tower 3 is the pool with the blue spiral type water slide. There is a kiddie water feature and hot tubs.

Building/ Tower 3 (Torre del Mar) has pool and is next to the hotel which also has a pool and has the poolside La Cocina Bar and Pizzeria Restaurant.

Building/Tower 4 (Torre del Cielo) has a normal type swimming pool and an entrance to the Lazy River pool. I think there is also shuffleboard at this tower on the side of the building? There are outdoor hot tubs. Tower 4 is a short walk to the lobby.

Between Building/Tower 4 and 5 is a Boardwalk which goes over to the Lobby Building and Main Building.

At Building/Tower 5 (Torre de la Luna) There is Escudos Bar & Grill. The pool labeled Pirate Pool is in front of Building/Tower 5. It is actually a fort/castle themed pool with a lazy river. There are water canons that squirt water. The pool is a beach entry style that connects to the lazy river. There are outdoor hot tubs. You can sign out pool towels and buy sundry items at this pool area. There is a small game arcade room at this building.

Building/Tower 6 (Torre del Sol) is the newest building (other than the hotel) completed in 2010. There is the Treasure Bar. Building/Tower 6 is next to the hotel and connects to it via the ground floor walkway past the activities desk. You can sign out board games, video games, pool towels, mini golf equipment and DVD movies. There are cabana rentals here. There is a free business center plus a fitness center, game room, activities desk, pool towels & arcade. The pool in front of Building/Tower 6 has a pirate ship pool and slide. There is also a bus stop in front of the building which goes to the theme parks (you need to buy round trip tickets to use it).

The Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek Hotel is located between buildings 3 and 6. There is Starbucks and several sit-down restaurants at the hotel and a Spa.

You can use all of the pools around the resort and pool hop when staying at Wyndham Bonnet Creek.

I second this, but we like floors 7 - 9; with rooms in the odd numbered 90,s. This gives you a view along the length of the lake.
