Points to RCI and credit pool

I have 106K pts. already put into RCI. I was thinking of putting 20K of my 2014 Wyndham points (to get to 126K in RCI) and the other 134K 2014 Wyndham points into the credit pool. I don't think I will use the points for travel next year. I've never used the credit pool and I ask will I be allowed to do this?

This is correct, so you would need to put 27k into RCI and 127K into the Credit Pool.

Any particular reason you want exactly 126k in RCI (i.e., known cost for specific unit/resort)? Remember if you find you need a few more RCI points to make a reservation credit pools Wyndham points cannot be used to plus up your RCI account. There are other options, like renting points from Wyndham to transfer into RCI, but that is pricey ($8-10/1000 pts).

I would put them all into the credit pool, until you have a specific idea for how you want to use points in RCI and, say, want to set up an ongoing search. Although you can't transfer credit pool points directly into RCI, a very easy workaround is to use the credit pooled points to book a Wyndham reservation of the number of points you want to transfer, cancel the reservation, and deposit the points into RCI. It can be done online, all in one day, so as only to use one RT.

The actual points needed for reservations through the portal vary so much away from the fixed grid that you may not need 126 for when and where you may want to travel.
