We're headed on our first trip to Harborside the end of September, a lucky trade from some of my Hyatt points. I'm looking for grocery and casual and moderate restaurant suggestions. Also would like the best snorkling and other water attractions for a reasonably spry 65- year old. No grandkids this trip unfortunately. Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Congrats for your trade......We love the resort.

For groceries use https://www.foodstore2go.com/Default.aspx

We have used them the past several trips. The delivery to your unit, at the time you specify and will even put the groceries away for you. They even will deliver beer, wine and alcohol.

The more casual and cheaper restaurants try Muarry's Deli, Johny Rockets, Anthony's and Bimini Road. Also, we order from Domino's Pizza......four pizzas for $50......can't beat the price.

We have never snorkeled while at Atlantis. We always stay on property and just enjoy all the various pools and water attractions. Friends have used Bluewater Tours (I think) for snorkeling off property.

Thanks so much. Isn't there some kind of manufactured snorkling facility on the Atlantis property? Seems like I saw it on one of their infomercials. We don't plan on leaving the property either.

For groceries I would highly recommend Super Value on Cable Beach, in my opinion this is one of the better options in Nassau and prices are reasonable when compared to online shopping options and even other nearby supermarkets.

Yes, they offer snorkeling in the lagoon.

I agree that the prices may be a bit more then the online grocery shopping (which is the big store grocery store in Nassau) but when you add the hour plus spent shopping in an unknown store, the extra money for the taxi to wait on you......the cost is a wash. Plus delivering them to your room and putting them away.

I agree. I use a similar service when we travel to St. Thomas with the extended family. When you have tired, crankly kids, I really want the staples there and ready to go when we arrive. I have them stock the first couple days and then go to the store after that.

If you have a smart phone there is an Atlantis app that lists all the places to dine, sorted by fine dining, casual, and quick eats and cafes. It also has info about the water parks, events, activities, casino, and more. As far as the restaurants go, some are closed on certain nights of the week, so if you get your heart set on one, it's good to know which nights they're open. And most prefer you make reservations, except the casual places.

Thank you for the info. I just downloaded the App. That should keep me informed.

Did you mean www.foodstore2go.com ? We used this service in Summer 2012, and they were fantastic. Easy ordering, good prices, decent selection, delivered in a refrigerated truck, and the delivery man brought everything inside and placed the items in the refrigerator or cupboard as needed.

We frequented the exact same restaurants. All decent options. Might be nice to try one of the "fancy" restaurants on site for better food and a nicer experience.

We have eaten at almost every restaurant at Atlantis. The only exceptions is Olives (it just opened) and D'Angelos (cause normally we have a large group and go to Carmines, which is family style).

So if you have any questions or curious about any of the mid to high priced dining options, ask away.

Also, the Atlantis pools/Aquaventure ares has several lunch options scattered throughout. The food offerings are different at each one. Some items are similar, but most have unique items. My favorite is the Fish and Chips quick service, near the beach.

I did.....fixed my errant spelling.

This link works. I thought there was something wrong with my office wifi when I tried the first link.

We'll probably go to nicer restaurants a couple nights so I'll take any suggestions.

My wife and I really enjoy Bobby Flay's Mesa Grill, but it is expensive.
