Is it fairly easy to add on to a Shell account? I know I need to buy in the same club, but does use year make any difference? I sent a message to a seller on Ebay asking about it, but never got a response.

There are so many small accts for $1. on Ebay from the resellers that I am comfortable with. For obvious ongoing financial reasons, I'd like to have one account.

There is actually information on Shell's website that covers this, but I called Shell and asked once.

Use year remains the same, even when you add a November contract, and your current use year is March. It will remain March. I did this twice.

Great. Thanks, Cindy!

When I added contracts, it actually pushed the use month back. Using Cindy's example, when I added a new contract, the use year then went from March to November. So maybe it depends on the rep that is doing the transfer?

Could be. I had free use, so even though the new contract was a November with free use, I still had the points to use. I would call and ask Shell.

I hate those calls myself. I would rather get answers through any other means than a phone call.

I am pretty ticked at Shell right now, and the next Shell contact is going to get an earful, believe me. I cannot book anything online, forcing me to pay $25 instead of $17.50 for the online transaction. Then I have to make a call three or four weeks later to have them reverse the $17.50 charges from my credit card. So even though the transactions don't go through, they charge my card. Took me three calls last month to get to someone who would believe I had a credit coming, and once again, I have another $17.50 charge on my bill this month.

That happened to another TUGGer. I let him log into my account to book a cash stay, thinking I was making it easy on both of us by letting him book/pay directly. He didn't get his reservation and Shell charged his card 3 times!! Since he wasn't the Shell account holder, you can imagine the hoops we had to jump through to get his charges reversed. I'm pretty sure he had to set up a dispute with the credit card company.

It's been really weird. My online account works great during the day. Once night falls, I can't log in or it will let me log in but it says I don't have a I.I. account... always something weird. I've pretty much resigned myself to only using the account during the day.

Shell won't even admit they have a problem. That is the first step: admit you have a problem and stop arguing with your customers.

This is where Wyndham's taking over is affecting me, I think. They probably have the ability to see I am a Platinum owner of Wyndham and take full advantage of those benefits.

We went to a Shell presentation while at The Donatello on exchange. She couldn't let us go fast enough. Shortest presentation on record.

I got my answer by just buying another account. My new points were added into my existing account and given the same account number. The use year/month was changed to coincide with my first account.

I didn't need to contact Shell to combine or do anything out of the ordinary. My seller was CJTimeshares on Ebay.

Looks like Wyndham's customer service and Shell's will be a good match.

Can you share anything they said with us?

Yeah, I didn't have to contact them, but I was worried about buying another use year, and it came to light that perhaps I would have issues with the usage of the points I got in the transfer (free with purchase), so I called to ask the policy.
