It is that time of year, if you have a booking prior to April 23rd your week may be eligible for a Accommodation Certificate/Bonus Week. These are typically offered for 1br+ deposits (not studio/lockoffs). Deposit must be made on/before July 21st to qualify.

I know that these are not useful for everyone, but we typically have friends and relatives that travel off-peak so ours rarely go to waste.

The deposit can be made online or over the phone.
==========
Take an extra weeks vacation affordably! If your check-in date is between XXXX ##, 2014 and April 23, 2014, just deposit this week to be eligible for a bonus Resort Accommodation Certificate.

If you confirm your exchange now, to remain eligible for this bonus certificate you must choose either a Vacation Exchange or a ShortStay Exchange. Deposits associated with Cruise Exchanges do not receive a bonus certificate.

If you place a request, you must place a Deposit First request in order to remain eligible for a bonus certificate.

Don't wait ... you only have until July 21, 2013 to get your extra week. Deposit now!

For additional terms and conditions, including certificate redemption fees, click here.

I got this for my Suites at Hershey, but not for Marriott's Willow Ridge. Should I call?

Like almost all specials in II, this offer only goes to select accounts, usually tied to a specific ownership. If you have more than resort company, you would only receive it for the one that is eligible.

I'm glad you posted this...

Do we have any way of knowing, pre-deposit, of the value of the offered AC? Value to me is an good offering of Marriott exchanges for the AC. In year's past I've been able to nab off-season Marriott weeks to Aruba, Breck, and HHI (twice).

More recently, the ACs I've received have been worthless to me. The one of joining the new club was a real stinker.

I don't think there is any way to know, but I recently received an AC that can view 1 year out and can pull Marriott's in all three of those locations. Even though I did not have the offer that other's are mentioning, I received it anyway when I did a deposit. It was not a high value deposit by any means and not a Marriott.

Just got this offer in the mail for our Marriott Barony weeks - which I found interesting since they are offering the bonus week for deposits from Mar 27- Apr 23. I just reserved Memorial Day week at Barony about a month ago since it showed higher demand in the II schedule. But the timeframe offered is Easter and the Classic Golf tournament.

Guess I will wait to deposit with II to see if they will eventually offer a bonus week for that deposit.

I just checked and can see Marriotts, Sheratons, Westins and Hyatts at all the locations you mentioned and more using the AC I received last month. I can even see 3BR units at Marriott's Surfwatch.

Before I deposited our Waiohai last year, I called II and talked to a number af people trying to find out what type of AC it would be. As we can travel off season, and fairly short notice, we had used them for some great exchanges. However, the year I bought 3 Getaways primarily for the ACs, i had to let all three expire, because the choices were so dismal.

I finally did find someone at the Customer Service number willing to check, and my main concern was that it would be 60 days grid free. ( in MY mind that meant able to see and grab anything that was available) After some consulting they said it would be, so I deposited. However, that AC will expire the end of August because even though it is grid free, they now give a limit to what it can see, so there is no grid, but it does not have the power see everything.

In the past, we had used them for 2-3 bedrooms at Maui Ocean Club in Early September, KoOlina in October, Playa Andaluza and Marbella in March to April, but now when they do show up they are usually studios, and I have never seen any Hawaii weeks with the current ACs. So in addition to being sure the AC is grid free, I would have them check what the rating of the AC is. One of the reps told me that a Marriott is a 10, and the ACs are can now only pull a 5.

However, one never knows for sure! Good Luck! The person I spoke with is no longer "on the phones." They said she got "kicked upstairs."

Did you find out in advance what type it was? Mine was for depositing a July 4th week at Waiohai. We have always just exchanged back, but I wouldn't have taken a chance of not getting back when we want to go for a crummy AC. I want one of the good ones! And II can power them however they choose. (I think!)

No, I did not know in advance.

I don't want to mislead, because even this latest AC is somewhat limited on grid months. For instance, I can see more weeks using my Marriott deposit than I can see at the same resort using my AC. Example, I cannot see late February weeks at HHI (on the grid) using my AC but can see those weeks with my deposit. I can see early February weeks.

I cannot see any Westin Kierland weeks with my AC, even for months on the grid but can, however, see Westin Mission Hills.

So far bonus weeks are only through April 23rd i believe for all locations. Typically April+ (through Aug?) AC's are offered in the Sept/October-ish timeframe.

We have always been able to use our AC's in the past at great places. This past year we got 1 for our unit deposit which is showing some inventory but nothing like we have seen in the past. And we received another one for the extending our II membership which appears to be worthless. So as others have posted not all as good as it used to be with AC's. I might extend the one that is pulling good units as we are limited with time now since we have moved. The other is only showing limited studio units but very limited.....
