Not able to access my points account all day so far - getting this message:

We apologize that this area of My-Vacationclub.com is unavailable at this time. .

Anyone also experiencing this issue?

The website is slower than usual and I received the same message.

No need for concern. That message comes out when the website is slow or the database lookup query times out. There is a timeout placed on the results in order to not hang up the system with too many requests.

I have even seen results come back to me that say I dont have any points enrolled in the DC program.

Just try again and it comes up with the correct information.

Or, the system is down. That seems more likely to me considering that we're all reporting the same error message. For what it's worth, I've tried three times now with the same result and haven't had to wait for it - no lag time here.

FT, are you able to see your Weeks/Points account information if you click "Check Availability" right now?

I have been trying multiple times all day here in the UK with the same result - I will try again tomorrow.

I think they are updating the website because I see the same message for my vacation club points. However, there is a whole new screen when I select "Use my Week".

I am reporting this at 10:00 PM EST

Everything seems to be working except the "My Marriott Vacation Club Portfolio" area. Same as others have reported so far.

I still can elect points and reserve my week as usual. The Maintenance fee area looks to be working as well.

Looks like no searching or automatic reserving until this is corrected. Can't even see my upcoming reservations.

FWIW: I have also noticed that my VOA listed on the home page has changed 3 times now in the last 48 hours. Strange.....

Based upon the displayed message I would agree some sort of maintenance is going on.

Still showing this morning
"We apologize that this area of My-Vacationclub.com is unavailable at this time. ."
And I am not sure if this is another US/non US website difference, but I don't see anywhere my VOA is listed on the home page, although perhaps it is just that we have not had a VOA since our original one left MVCI many years ago.
When I called to ask about this once, I was told they do not allocate individual VOA replacements - is this other owners experience?

Our VOA is listed in the upper right corner of the Home page after logging in. It looks like that remains there when moving to several other pages also. I have noticed that the name has changed a few times. I suspect because the prior VOA has left and they assigned us a new one.

Website is back up!

9:00 AM EST

Looks like the website is back to normal. Please post if anyone continues to have issues.

Looks like they made some minor changes to the system. Here is what I noticed so far:

1. New Hotel Escapes for Caribbean - Scrub Island, Virgin Island (British) and The Abaco Club on Winding Bay

2. Premier Events -added New York Fashion Week Experience

3. The "Make My Stay" button is now permanently greyed out. Not a big deal since this button never worked anyways. Guess they dont want us clicking it anymore.

4. The new and reduced CSA Travel protection plans are listed. This was already posted somewhere else already.

The system still has some bugs since I noticed that one of my upcoming stays is now listed as "Complete" instead of "Pending" under the transaction date.

Let us know what else folks find is different.

FT

I noticed another change.
When searching for a ressie, if there weren't enough points to pull that date a message could come up saying there was no availability.
Now, if the date is available, it comes up but it says the # of points reqd is 0.
when you hit the availability button a box pops up telling you how many points are required.
IMHO this is big! I can now search availability without actually having the required # of points.

Thanks FT
Got lucky using Puck's or Greg's trick of searching 1 day mid-week availabilty with flexible dates and stumbled upon it. I got a few hundred points I need to use by years end.
I used to have to call the VOA, not any more.:)

The DC points area of the website seems to be unavailable again. I was able to get into it earlier, but now I am receiving the same message as the one I received yesterday.

I am getting the message again this morning that my point information is not available. Maybe more work on the update is taking place. Looking forward to be able to check inventory with out having the required points. To me, this makes the site nearly complete. Add the 13 month rule to the online booking and they would be done!!

When I select Use My Week I get a message saying that nothing is available (as if my season hasn't started yet) and not even the months displayed to select a check in date.

Hi Dioxide45

Thanks for that, I guess it must just be a different website we have here.
With apologies for the formatting, our home page shows the following at the top of the page, with no sign anywhere of any reference to VOA

Still can't access the Points info and there's a new error message for me today: "We apologize however, we are unable to retrieve your points details at this time."

The 13-mos window for Jan/2014 will be opening soon, wonder if there will be changes to the 2014 Points Chart.

You would think that if this is planned maintenance, MVC would have posted a note that access to sections of the website may be unavailable during a more or less defined period of time...

My home page after login is the same as BAZZAP - this has always been like this - never had a VOA - always wondered what everyone else here was talking about when the mentioned their VOA. My original sales person still works for MVCI in sales but at a different resort and in fact left and returned a few years later - but even then she never appeared on my page.

I suspect that in fact it is owner dependent - or rather dependent on whether you live in the USA or not - if not you don't get a VOA listed.

WEB Site is still not working for me. This is what I am seeing - We apologize that this area of My-Vacationclub.com is unavailable at this time. .

Feels more like Un-Planned downtime - perhaps they have a problem !!:crash:

MY VOA has changed a number of times over the years but it's never been my sales rep and it hasn't changed for about a year now. For what it's worth, I've never talked to my current VOA and really couldn't care less who picks up the phone when I call in.

I think you're right that it may only be US owners who get assigned VOAs, probably because we call in to a different call center than the European owners do.
