New Elite Benefits

Maybe all us non-elite members should band together for a class action lawsuit because HGVC keeps changing the rules. :rofl: (sorry, couldn't help it. To many newbies on other forums over the last year wanting to suit everyone for everything.)
 
The OP did have a full paragraph of details before editing the post and deleting everything. One of the benefits that I remember being there was discount entertainment tickets.

To the OP, why did you delete the info?

As an Elite Plus member, I think the benefits of Elite status are not worth the increased cost of purchasing retail. However, the resale market would not exist without people like me who initially purchased retail.

It would be interesting to know what they told you, OP. This is a forum for sharing info--people are good about doing that and having information helps us all. Even though some of the non-Elite members may give you grief, I do think most on the board would appreciate the information if they are Elite or non-Elite. Please let us know what they said.

Luckily I got HGVC Elite resale before they changed the rules, and I got it written into my contract so it can not be yanked should they claim it was an oversight. I have already had to show them my contract once to reinstate my Elite, but they reinstated it, and must have somehow flagged it in the system.

With only the entry level Elite it is ok, but perks are trivial, but I don't think in anyway shape or form, that purchasing for full freight is even worth the highest level Elite status. There are better perks, but not worth it at that price.

Not really expecting much in the way of new perks fro HGVC and just holding steady would be better than losing perks.

I have the highest level Elite with Wyndham, also obtained via the back door before the loophole was closed. There too I had it written into my contract. However I think that Wyndham has some great perks (50% off points during Express Window and Free Upgrade in units if available), that use often and are valuable to me. Hoping that those perks stay put too. Wishing that HGVC perks were more like Wyndham perks.

I am not a least bit interested or curious to know what HGVC salesperson told OP. I will just watch the presidential debate today for my dose of lies and hogwash.

Maybe he posted the secret for turning lead into gold and thought better of it.
Maybe the deletion was accidental, like the time I put myself in my own killfile.

Ruh, roh... Politics!
Truthfully, these debates are like American Idol or ice skating.
I almost expect to see cameras turn to judges holding scorecards.
