RCI Deposit

There's a chance that a contract that's being transferred into my name will hit my Wyndham account before the end of the year. I will inherit points that expire 12/31. I was thinking if that happened I'd deposit them into RCI. Will I have to pay the $189 exchange fee at the time that I roll them into RCI? I did read the information in the Online Learning Center, but I didn't really see a difference between making a deposit and doing a search.

No. You pay the exchange fee when you request an exchange or initiate an ongoing search. I do think it costs a reservation transaction when you deposit to RCI, though.
