I have never used Ongoing Searches. However, I have recently decided that there are some places/resorts that I want and that I really need to just do it. This is incentive enough for me!!!!! Here goes!

Good grief, is it me or the system?

I've tried to do an Ongoing Search several ways and all I get is this error message. Do I really have to call these people.

I set one up just now without any problems. But you can call RCI and immediately ask for "Web Support." They're surprisingly competent, and they'll talk you through it to set up online.

I guess that I will give it another try on my own, then make the call if I'm still having personal issues doing this. I only want specific resorts for my time frames. I don't want to do Regions. It says "optional" under REGION 2. I'm assuming that it's optional for the REGION SELECTIONS (not just REGION 2). Maybe not. Another thing, I question is whether the resort choices are separated by a comma only or a comma and a space. I tried it both ways.

I'm sure Tuggers that routinely use this feature have to be thinking, "Lady, it's not that difficult!" Be gentle. I'm not as sharp as I used to be.

I got the same error earlier today, but just now it worked. I found it odd that they asked for a credit card even though there was no charge.

I tried again, searching for dates in 2013 and 2014 up until June 1, 2014. I got a message that I could not search past the end date of my deposit. This is a July 2013 week with use to July 2015. Shouldn't be a problem, right?

Dunno, why this is so difficult.

I tried to set up a search for 10/2012 for a July 2011 week (valid thru 7/2013) and I did not get an error. When you select a deposit for the search, it should show you the travel window? Based on what you are saying, it should be valid until 2015 but maybe you picked the wrong deposit.

Good suggestion, but I'm paid up past my search dates.

I tried to set up a search for 10/2012 for a July 2011 week (valid thru 7/2013) and I did not get an error. When you select a deposit for the search, it should show you the travel window? Based on what you are saying, it should be valid until 2015 but maybe you picked the wrong deposit.

Another good suggestion, but no; I'm using my deposit through 2015 since it's the only one with enough TPUs to get what I want.

Thanks for the heads up on this. I spoke to an RCI rep and she said the promo runs till June 30th.
