Royal mayan Rentals ?

I simply forgot to mention, try expedia.com. Seems they have the largest inventory, sounds like you are looking for a specific week.

JBRES1, you can also place an ad in the "Rent Wish" section of the TUG Marketplace, in addition to searching the other places mentioned.

And not everyone must stay at the Royal Mayan - the Royal Caribbean right next door is interconnected with the Mayan, and unless your crew has mobility issues, it wouldn't be a problem to move back and forth. We always go between the Mayan, Caribbean, and Islander many times a day as we choose which pool or restaurant etc. Look at the first picture on mexicondo.com to see what I mean about how the three resorts are connected.

There's also omcancun.com and royalweek.com

For instance, we had our Royal Caribbean morning pool buddies, and then we had our pool bar happy hour friends at the Royal Mayan. Never did make it over to the Islander, though. We were staying at the Caribbean.

If there weren't about to not be timeshares, I would be tempted to buy into the Trii-Royals.

Hey amycurl,
I'm not smart enough or don't speak the same language. What does your -tempted to buy- mean? My Heavy heart title is a true story. We have owned week 21 in the Mayan and Islander week 22 since before the Islander was built. We will be looking for greener pastures when they sell the Mayan. We will never travel from the west coast to Cancun for one week and the Mayan Palapa is our home for the 2 weeks we spend every year. I think the Royals have been the role customer care model for other time shares to try to achieve but like every thing else the new management blood has different ideas and priorities than the original developers. I'm afraid the Royals Resorts will become just another uncaring business/income source for the younger managers. DARN!!! One more year to say goodbye to all our great Amigos and Amigas

With you 100%. I've at least got more time with the Caribbean and Islander, but we love the Palapa at the Mayan (and Abraham) the best.

All I meant by "tempted to buy" was that we were tempted when we learned of some resale offers offered privately; we completely fell in love with the Royals: the resorts and the owners. But with things ending, it just didn't make sense. I think many owners there have similar heavy hearts.

Royal Mayan

I am trying to get us all into the Mayan, but Islander or Caribbean will work.
When we were 2 summers ago, we were between the Mayan, Islander and Omni. The family at the Omni felt kinda left out from the others.
I have been in contact with the resort, and they are way out of line pricewise vs some online booking sites.
I have found an online booker that will get me a 2 bdr unit for $1,400.00.
I sent the resort my findings, and they came back with an offer of $1,950.00.

I'm not too worried yet about the lack of weeks in Redweek, just wanted to put this thing to bed before Christmass.

Thanks, Jim Breslin

Those prices are out of line unless it's a prime holiday week and/or beachfront. Try renting directly from an owner, on the various sites mentioned above.

Have you tried posing in the rental wish list on TUG?
