I attended the presentation at MOC. Here are some snippets from that presentation:

The salesman gushed over the success of the DC program. He claimed that 80,000 weeks owners have enrolled so far. If true, that equals about 20%. I am trying to remember whether 20% was the original target or not. If it was, it appears that they will probably exceed it.

The salesman also mentioned that Premier and Premier Plus members will gain some new enhancements. I had not heard about this before. He noted that Premier and Premier Plus members will have access to some Ritz Carlton resorts.

He noted that the cost per point is now $10.50. I haven't been keeping up with cost issues since I don't plan to buy any more points.

He mentioned a points buy-back program that Marriott is planning to roll out. I had heard hints of something like this before. I hope they implement that.

He supported the view that Trust inventory will find its way into the internal exchange inventory as Trust owners exchange their Trust points. That is what I was originally told.

He apparently reads TUG (like a lot of Marriott people do) and considers it a source of misinformation.

I don't think we ever heard any official targets out of Marriott. Early on the talk was of a 20% enrollment target. Perhaps it came from sales staff, I don't really remember

I will believe a points buy back program when I see it. Marriott never offered it for weeks. Except for selectively offering to buy back at certain resorts where the needed inventory to resell. They offered buy backs to people on resale wait-lists. There was never anything official or developed where anyone could call Marriott and as "how much will you buy my week back for". If they never did it in 20+ years of weeks, I don't see why they would do it in points.

 A timeshare salesmen saying TUG is a source of misinformation!:hysterical: That should be in the joke section!:wall:
