I’m new to this site so if I’m in the wrong place, please move.
We recently inherited 2 weeks at Plantation Resorts of Myrtle Beach.
With the Wyndam points we own, we don’t have enough time to use these two weeks.
Now the issue, what is the most inexpensive way to get rid of these weeks and the MF’s that go along with them? Is there a market to sell them? Can we give them away to a charity? Plantation said they would take them back but we will have to pay $1000.00 for all the closing, transfer fees. Any advice would be appreciated.
Thank you.

If you join Tug, you can place a free ad in the Classified section offering to give away the unit if the buyer pays the MFs. However, if you haven't paid 2011 dues, there's little incentive to buy it because it's probably too late to book a good week there.

Depending on the season and first use year, the offer by your resort management may be your best alternative. You won't be able to sell it until you've made good on past due MFs.

You should be able to find a taker that will accept them for free & cover the transfer costs. Thats about all you can reasonably expect and it's cheaper than paying $1000.

Is it too late to decline the inheritance? If not, it would be the estate's problem, not yours!

Yes, but what if the OPer hasn't paid this year's MFs? Someone has to make good on them before the title can change hands, no?
