Questions about first II exchange

I just made my first II exchange on Saturday, and I have a few questions:

I'm pretty excited, we traded a Small 1 bedroom at SDO for a 2 Bed in Atlantis (sleeps 8). Dec. 9-16 (Fri-Fri). I assume that since this sleeps 8, it will be the 2 bed lockoff, right?

About 2 weeks ago I received confirmation from II that my week was successfully deposited with them. This exchange shows in my II account as confirmed, but I have not received any kind of confirmation email. Is this normal, or have I hit some sort of glitch? How long does it take?

Thanks in advance!

If it's your first exchange the confirmation may have gone in your spam folder or you might have assumed it was spam and deleted. That's what I did with my first confirmation based on a search started 8 months prior. Interval sends confirmations with the very generic from: Customer Service subject: Confirmation # 123xxxx with an attachment.

I sent customer service a letter asking for something less generic and they basically promised to think about it and thanked me for using II.

No such luck, not in the spam folder. I guess it might just take awhile. It seems like everything else with II does.

Congrats - this is a fabulous exchange.

As to the 2bed size, I suggest you call the resort directly to confirm. I once reserved two 2-bed units and while one II confirmation showed it slept 6 and the other 8 (and other descriptive info relating to the lock-off), the resort only had the non-lockoff units assigned to me. This was a big deal as we had to rent another 1-bed unit. Had I not contacted the resort more people would have arrived than sufficient number of beds... and II is not responsible for these types of errors.

Just showed up this morning.

And thanks for the warning on the lockoff situation. I will call the resort and try to figure this out.

Has anyone else had the issue of exchanging into a 2 bedroom lockoff for 8 and only being given a standard 2 bedroom?
