Late check in or early check out

I have a bonus week that expires in June. I want to offer to my kids as they wish to do a week-end in Portugal (they live in London).I am pretty sure I can do this as a guest certificate and know that I will pay for full week but do I just call resort to notify of late check in or early check out? Also, is there exchange fee in addition to fee for AC?

Just the fee for the AC. A simple call to the resort to let them know of the late checkin is all that is needed. No need to let them know ahead of time about early check out.
