How hard is Steamboat to book at Christmas/New Years week and in March

I'm a Wyndham VIP owner with around 800,000 points and took my entire family to Steamboat last year for the first time. Booked three 2BR units and feel EXTREMELY lucky to have gotten that. I booked them RIGHT at my 11 month VIP RARP window at MIDNIGHT. I was hoping to get two 3BR units, but had to "settle" for 2BR Deluxe units.

Again, i feel very lucky and this was extremely stressful for me. To the point that i'm considering buying resale Worldmark JUST to book at Steamboat.

I live on the East coast, so would not make very much use out of Worldmark very often outside of Steamboat and maybe West Yellowstone once or twice.

What i'm trying to figure out is if I could reliably book two 3BR units (or 3 2BR units) at Steamboat reliably at my booking window to the day (13 months?) for Christmas or new years week. I'm trying to take the stress out of this process and it's worth having another timeshare system and the extra cost to do this.

I'm used to staying up till midnight to book if necessary but the stress of this last year was a lot.

Also, how reliable is snow in March at Steamboat. Think Spring break for High School/College kids.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, I think you can get Steamboat consistently with Worldmark over Christmas/New Years in 2BRs. Steamboat has very good early season snow, so its a great place to book, statistically, for skiing over Christmas/New Years. Snow is very reliable in March. Enjoy! Multiple 3BRs will be hard to book consistently because there's just very few of them.

3br is very hard for Xmas/NY, wouldn't count on that at all. March more likely if you're right on time.

2br deluxe is easier for Xmas/NY.

I'd be hesitant to buy it just for that, Steamboat has been getting harder year over year in WM.

You should be less agitated and more open-minded about Club Wyndham Access. Just like how WorldMark owners find it easier to book Hawaii through Club Pass versus using their credits at WorldMark resorts, it is easier to book Steamboat Springs through Club Wyndham during holiday weeks.

You really should have taken the advice I gave in September
The 13-month ARP holiday weeks are EXACTLY why I own CWA, instead of lower maintenance fee resorts.

... and bought as many Club Wyndham Access points as you need for $1 instead of buying 426,000 more points at National Harbor that are not getting you what you want.

Plus, with the CWA points, you would not have to worry about this
