I got a one bedroom here from June 28-July 12 via II trade. I need answersI have not been able to get from the resort. Is there a tax beyond the AI fees and tax of 3.86 per day? If so, what is it based upon in terms of room cost/% since I am not paying for the room directly? Also, does anyone have any info about if the 1 bdrms in II are the same as the ones World of Hyatt lists for one bedrooms?

You might post your question on FlyerTalk website or other Hyatt forums that have travelers that frequent their hotels.

Here is a link to FlyerTalk forum on this property: https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/hya...yatt-ziva-los-cabos-review-master-thread.html
Yes, I have already read that thread, but I am specifically looking for info about trading via interval and not using WOH points, other rewards points, or cash. There are notations that taxes on hotels in MX can cost 20% of the rate, something not unfamiliar to me as I live in HI and our transitory taxes are close to that. And that is why I have my question. If they are charging II traders taxes, is it based on the base price it would be if I paid cash? Because cash visitors have their taxes and fees included as part of the nightly AI fee. II traders have to pay $1528 pp in AI fees for a week, and since I am trading my own timeshare for it, I absolutely do not want to pay $300 in taxes, as it already is just slightly less per night to stay than it would be without the trade. That would be a dealbreaker for me on the trade and I would just book directly with the hotel and get the points for my WOH account.

I'm putting this here to update the info in case there are others who have the same questions I had, plus a bit more info.

According to the reservations agent on site at this resort (not corporate) whose email address I got by asking on the FB page of the hotel, the 2025 rate for AI for Interval Trades is $1578.78 USD pp per week, or 225.54 per day and 112.77 USD per night per child (3 – 12 years old.) This includes all taxes the same as if you book directly with Hyatt (except maybe the under $5 a day one the country of Mexico charges.) To buy these directly instead of trading, Hyatt sells the 1 bedroom units for $886-1081 per night for 2 adults as occupants; they charge extra for additional occupants (I used the nights we are staying, June 28-July 12, to look up the rates. I am sure they may vary up or down depending on season. Also, unrenovated units are currently bookable at the WOH member rates, where the renovated units are not. Unrenovated at WOH member rates for same dates range from $813-899 per night for two adults.) So trading a cheap trader studio unit and paying the $3156 AI fees per week is a huge savings for over booking the unit directly with the resort, which is sort of surprising given the AI trades usually give utterly ridiculous quotes for the AI portion on both II and RCI. For us, the difference in price makes this a doable 14 day stay where the just under 12k pricetag of booking directly with the hotel site would not be in our budget. If I had to pay instead of trade, I would be in the cheapest room category (hotel room, King, no view, not renovated) for a max of 10 nights instead of 14 nights in a one bedroom.

Except for a few elevators, the construction is complete. However, only building B has renovated rooms.
