Wyndham Skyline Towers doesn't answer their phone???

Hi, all

I have been having a real problem with Wyndham Skyline Tower. I have a Redweek reservation there that I have been trying to put into another person's name. I have made repeated calls to the resort (I have called them on at least 6 separate days now), and they seem to have great difficulty locating the reservation.

Several times today, I spoke to them and they claimed that they had not received the Guest Certificate from Redweek/Dial-an-Exchange. Dial-an-exchange claims to have sent it repeatedly.

Well, Dial-an-exchange says they sent the Guest Certificate again a few hours ago. But, I can't check whether Wyndham Skyline Tower finally received the GC because the resort will not answer their phone! I have been dialing and dialing the resort's direct line (609-449-4200) repeatedly for almost three hours now, and it just rings and rings with no answer.

I tried calling the 800 number for Wyndham Skyline Tower reservations (800-347-8182) and they say the front desk doesn't answer their phone during check-in! What sort of hotel or resort doesn't answer their phone for three hours straight, in the middle of the day? The number I'm calling for the resort is the same number one would call in order to reach a guest room, so if someone wanted to be connected to, say, a relative or friend staying at the resort, presumably they wouldn't be able to.

Has anyone else run into a problem like this? Does anyone know of another way to contact this resort?

Our first trip to Wyndham Skyline was through a Skyauction reservation. It took them 3 hours (!) to "find" the reservation - a copy of which we held in our hand. They "had never heard" of Skyauction (despite the fact that it said RCI all over the confirmation) and didn't know how to reach them to verify the reservation. Extremely frustrating - I ended up shrugging it off and simply left a couple times to look around - only to return to "we still can't check you in" - but the front desk was, shall we say, more than a tad incompetent.

No surprise they don't answer the phone (normally there was 1 person handling the whole desk/lobby/phone process) and don't know how to deal with a third party reservation/name change.

I just got through to Skyline a little while ago. The phone system was down.
