Hubby and I are thinking of doing a long weekend in Avon the end of October. I'm looking for reviews on the resort and some ideas for things to do. TIA

There's a review of it available in the members section. A couple of summers ago we stayed at Falcon Point across the street from the site. Lots to do in the area - hiking, horseback riding, rafting, etc.
I was in Avon in February. The Wyndham property is very attractive from the exterior and the lobby. Didn't actually see any units. However, it came on line in a similar time frame to Wyndham Park City and those units are very nice.
All the rooms are "presidential" and are very nice. it is located across from the Westin. lot of points for the rooms.....
Parking is valet required and is $20/night.
Read the review on the members sections - I can't give it the same glowing review - if you aren't presidential, you are charged for parking, breakfast, and get nothing extra. the staff is very nice and helpful. there are a few activities, but the real attraction is the skiing, and outdoors.
October is "in-between" nice summer and skiing. still able to visit sites, and do out doors activities.
thanks everyone! I did look at the review but since it was only 1 I wanted to ask around and see what others thought. It is quite a few points for 3 nights
