Wyndham rental contract

My suggestion in to use PayPal and incorporate the contract in the invoice v. a separate contract. Use verbiage stating, 'Payment constitutes acceptance of terms and conditions.'

Does anyone have a Wyndham rental contract they are willing to share? if so my e-mail address is blades_bob@yahoo.com. Would be much appreciated. I have looked at the samples.
Thanks
Any time I have rented from another owner I never asked for a agreement. IMHO not necessary when paying paypal. They sent the reservation confirmation in my name and I would call to confirm reservation 2 days before checking in.

Just curious. If the guest trashes the timeshare, are they or you held responsible? I know when I have rented from a tugger I was, so far, never asked for a rental agreement. When I have checked in, I don’t remember ever signing anything that said I was responsible for damages as I recall. I do remember asking the front desk that question and they said the owner was responsible for the actions of their guests. Yes, I have always left the timeshare in the same or better condition than I got it but there are some that may not.

I have never rented our any of my points to anyone. I have always been a guest of another owner. I dont know who is responsible if a guest leaves a room damaged.

Everytime I've checked in I've been asked for license and credit card. When they realize I'm an owner they give back my credit card and say we dont need this cause your a owner. I assume just like hotel damages will be settled to the cc on check in.

Yes, I have been asked for ID and a cc when I have rented. I suppose it’s assumed that if I break it, I buy it. Well, that’s only fair.

There are several sample rental agreements here on TUG.

I just use Redweek verified and protected. You have to pay for the service, but they will verify your listing and guarantee the renter, so more people are likely to rent from you. The downside is that the funds are held until a few days after check in, but then they are deposited into your bank account. I get the highest price from renting on that site.

I’ve rented from Redweek verified and protected and I really like it! It protects both parties.

I use Timeshare Von's (available here on TUG) and modified it a bit for me. But a great guideline.

I can't imagine anything holding up on court, across state lines and such. But still like to use it, it sets expectations and I think has scared away some people I prefer not to rent to (what-I have to count the silverware)? The contract makes it clear they are responsible for any damages or lost items (although I can't imagine having to go after someone, I like to think it sets a precedence).

Owners are responsible for the actions of their guests. Owners do not have to provide a credit card at checkin, guests should. Owners can, if you want to charge to the room. Resorts are not consistent, but that in general is how it should work. My understanding is that if there is damage or loss, Wyndham could come after the owner. I've never heard of that happening. I also think they are pretty lenient. They understand normal wear and tear (a broken glass, etc).

I've had a lot of unrented stuff on Redweek, very little success. Maybe I'll give the verified and protected a whirl.

This is an example of the Rental Agreement that is found on RedWeek.
