Arrived North Myrtle Beach South Carolina

November 15, 2009 - Sunday Afternoon
Checked into Wyndham at The Cottages

Staying in a Four (4) Bedroom (Beige/Tan Exterior) Cottage
with a beautiful landscaped yard that has thirty five trees!

This is our fourth stay for a grand total of seven full weeks.

November 16, 2009 - Monday

Warm with temps in the low 70s

Spent the day with an old friend and his recent wife.

We sat and talked awhile here in the huge living room and then drove up to Tower 4 and parked and walked across to Wyndham Ocean Blvd. We checked out the pools, and sat by the Lazy River and talked some more.

We had plans to go to the Golden Corral on Rt 17 for Veterans Day Dinner
When we arrived at the restaurant there was a line out the door and down the sidewalk. Who ever said no one goes to MB during off season is wrong!

The new North Myrtle Beach Connector road is open!

November 17, 2009 - Tuesday

Warm with temps in the low 70s

Went for a car ride along Route 31 all the way South to Route 501.

Entered the MBC from US 17 at the new Main Street intersection,
traveled west across the Intracoastal Waterway along Firetower Rd,
exited onto Route 31 and cruised the highway looking at the scenery.

Returned via the Ocean Highway road while stopping to take photos.
A few homes and businesses still have fall decorations out in front
while others have started to put up their Christmas decorations.

Stopped at Papa John`s Pizza (For Carry Out)
Came back & watched The Cars Movie on DVD.

November 18, 2009 - Wednesday

Morning Rain - Afternoon Sun - low 70s

Went for a car ride N along Route 17 to Little River
pass the SC/NC state line to Calabash for Lunch at
Captain Nance's Seafood Restaurant on River Road.

Hostess seated us at a window table facing the river
We both ordered the daily lunch special & a beverage.

Deep Fried Flounder & a plate full of Fried Shrimp,
Fries, Baked Potato, Cole Slaw and Hush Puppies
The best fried food we have had in a long time.

Wyndham Myrtle Beach Cottages

Furnishings

The Cottages are single family homes located about four city blocks
from the beach/ocean in a private neighborhood community setting.

The Cottages are about 6 years old and still have their original furnishings
Hopefully they will be refurnishing the units, without a special assessment.

Living Room sofa and chairs are dirty looking & worned out!
When we travel to any timeshare...
We always place a clean king size flat sheet over the sofa.

Our cottage has 2 master bedrooms with king size bedding,
Two guest bedrooms with 2 sets of queen bedding in each
Bedding is "Hard and Uncomfortable" and needs to be replaced.

Nice feather pillows - Original Bedspreads
No Fluffy comforters like at the Marriotts!

Wyndham has laid off a lot of their housekeeping & maintenance staff
for the "off season" months. Cleaning on Friday, Sat, Sun or Monday.
Lack of deep cleaning, maintenance and repairs are starting to show.

Nov 19, 2009 - Thurs

Partly Sunny - low 70s

Went for another ride. Stopped at Pier 14. Took photos of beach & ocean.
Had an early dinner at Ryan Buffet in NMB. Nothing fancy (meal fair).

Took a evening walk up and down our street. The lawns/yards are beautifully landcaped. Some of the trees in our community still have gold color leaves, the pine trees are so tall. (The lawn man was out early this Friday morning at 8:30 blowing the leaves on our property)

Most of the Wyndham Cottages have been sitting empty all week.
A few families have started to check-in for the weekend & upcoming Thanksgiving holiday week.

November 20, 2009 - Friday

Lots of Sunshine - Temps 70

Getting ready to make breakfast. Having Pancakes with Blueberry syrup
and a fresh pot of coffee made in a Black Cuisinart 12 cup coffee maker.

Afterwards we plan to go to the beach to try out our Metal Detector.

On Our Trip Back Home - Our Mustang passed the 155,000 mile mark!

Nov 21, 2009 - Sat

Sunny - Temps 70

Checked out of Wyndham at The Cottage (3)
after a great week in beautiful Myrtle Beach

Headed back home
Via Route 17, to Wilmington, I-140, West I-40, North I-95
Stopped for gas/snack at Richmond Travel Center in Virginia
Got on the HOV northbound and cruised through pass traffic
Southbound Traffic from Springfield Via on I-95 was mostly
bumper to bumper all the way down to Rt. 3 Fredericksburg.

The headlights and taillights from all of the cars, vehicles and
tractor trailers after sunset were such a beautiful sight to see.

Travel Time: Just a little over 10 hours.

Famous Little Lucky and his buddies are already
looking forward to their next timeshare vacation.

Myrtle Beach

Shaggy

We missed Hoskins and Fat Harolds in NMB too. The week went by so quick! We did Pier 14. The restaurant will benefit from the new one mile boardwalk.

Thanks again for the Myrtle Beach VIP cards you sent earlier this year.
I gave them to my friend who lives in MB, so that she could continue to enjoy the discounts and go out to the clubs and not have to pay the cover charges
