I am staying at the Wyndham Mauna Loa complex.

Are there any better units I should request - updated or better location.

Thanks.

If you're in a one bedroom, ask for an upper floor. Lower floor one bedrooms have to contend with air conditioning units right outside the bedroom window.

It's a nice resort in a great location. You're sure to have a good time. (Be sure to go down the street to the Sheraton to watch the manta rays feeding at night. It's free, and worth the time.)

Second the upper floor recommendations. We were assigned a lower unit. I walked in and freaked out because the noise (even with the patio door closed) was so intrusive and you can't turn it off, because it controls the upstairs unit also. Also, it felt like we were in cave down there.

I am staying here also in May 2012 thanks to Cindys posting of a bulk deposit so thanks for posting pics Joan, Beautiful!

our family (myself, wife and 2 kids 7 and 5) will be there in April, for 3 glorious weeks.
Seems some people have had good experiences, others less so. But come on, it is hawaii, and normally the entire month of April for us, is still -20C.

We just came back from nine days at the Shell Holua Resort at Mauna Loa Village which is on the same property. The Shell units are further in, closer to the ocean. I can't speak to the Wyndham units themselves, but the property is gorgeous, quiet, lots of pools so never crowded or noisy. Most days we went to the beach or were out and about, but the few days we stayed by the pool, we pretty much had it to ourselves.

By the golf course

Wehave been there three times and twice were on the golf course. Nice resort with well maintained grounds. Have fun!!Right next to a two course golf facility . Ocean course is tourist friendly but you need to be a mt goat for the other course.

We are headed to this resort at the end of the month. Any advice other than top floor for a 1 bdrm location??

My 1bd choices in order

None of the 1 be have ocean views so I try to get those which are the quietest and have the most privacy. All on 2 nd floor
