Just finished 4 nights at Wyndham Long Wharf and 4 nights at Wyndham Onshore. I was lucky to put together a 8 night stay over Memorial day weekend. IMHO Onshore was the better location on the harbour next to Bowen wharf. Both resorts are within walking distance to numerous restaurants. The Viking trolley tour I highly recommended, Ray was our driver and was born and raised in Newport. He also was a local history teacher for 40 years and was a caddie as a kid to many of the residents living in the mansions we toured. If you stay at Wyndham Long Wharf try breakfast at Belles restaurant in the marina next door or Brick Alley Pub and restaurant for dinner. Both restraurants had very good service and the food was reasonably priced.

I like Long Wharf better as a resort but Onshore better for the location.
