Wyndham Durango supposedly has two suite types, deluxe one bed and a suite, but they look the same. Anyone been there?

The description even has same square feet and the same pictures. Is that information correct? I am trying to book a couple of nights for us.

The pictures are usually from just one type when there are multiple types. Look to see if one has e.g. a balcony in one but not the other.
That was my first thought, that the deluxe would have a balcony. The directory indicates they both do however.

My next step would be to call the resort at 970-385-9815.

From what I have read, the deluxe are on the top floor.

That makes sense. But I am going to call. I tried to call earlier and no answer.

Here is the info from the 2014-2015 directory. It's probably preferred view.

It's not like you have to stretch points. Live large get the top floor!
The only unit type showing for our dates (so far) is the suite. I will book the deluxe, if it shows up. It's within 60 days now, so it's hit or miss. The suite is booked.

I sent my parents there years ago. They loved it. There is an old train to ride and they really liked that. Mom loved the near by artsy village.

I looked at both rooms last month
The top floor rooms have been remodeled

They will also will remodel other rooms in the future
It was a hotel that was converted
Be aware the parking is very limited , so you will need to park a trailer a few miles aeay.

It's a great resort location wise. It's in Historic Downtown Durango next to the steam engine museum and train station. It's great in the fall when the Aspen start to turn.

When I was on the board at Twin Rivers in Fraser/ Winter Park, CO, an owner contacted me and asked if they could trade their week at Twin Rivers (deeded week) for a deeded week at the Wyndham Durango because they liked it so much and traded in every year. Why would anyone think they could trade a week at this resort for that resort? It was so weird. They owned at Twin Rivers since 1982.

I think the difference between the one bedroom and one bedroom deluxe units is the finish, meaning flooring, appliances, etc. Otherwise I believe they are basically the same.
