I will be reserving a two bedroom unit in Sept. 2024 for a family reunion. My grand son is two.
So, what location within the resort do you recommend and why? Has housekeeping improved-last time
I stayed the room was a disaster as to cleanliness when checking in.
What restaurants and activities at the resort do you recommend?
Does the resort charge for parking and have a resort fee of some sort?
Also, do you think another Wyndham resort is better in Kissimmee?
Thanks All

Hi! No parking fee or resort charge. The luau is a lot of fun. Check out the activities schedule when you get there to see what looks interesting.
There aren’t a lot of restaurants there to choose from. The one I went to was on the patio outside of the Wyndham Grand. It was fine.
I liked this resort better than Star Island.
Housekeeping was fine last time I was there. I am guessing you are comparing the housekeeping here to another place since the questions seem like you were not at Bonnet Creek before? They are all different management and staff in the locations.

This must be an exchange. Bonnet Creek is the BEST for exchange. Hilton charges fees of $25 per day per unit for whatever. I will not pay that fee.

Hi, thank you for responding. Yes , a few years ago I stayed there and housekeeping was horrible.
Do all towers [buildings] have lazy rivers?
regards

There are two lazy rivers in front of tower 5 and the registration building, but the resort is compact enough that you are really never far from one.

I’ve been there a number of times and the only issue I had with housekeeping was an incident where the previous tenants must have smoked like a smokestack and housekeeping sprayed something that caused us not to notice it on check in and only noticed it after the spray had worn off as we were going to bed. We got our room moved the next morning so they could air it out longer though and it wasn’t an issue.

We very much enjoy the breakfast at Escudos. I would call and order ahead and order take out to bring back to the room several times during our trip. They also have decent Mexican lunch/dinner at that restaurant. The Wyndham Grand (which is on site and walkable from any tower) has several decent restaurants including a decent breakfast buffet. The pizza restaurant (outside tower 3) is passable.

With a 2 year old definitely buy the fish food from the activities center ($2 per bag), and have him feed the fish off the bridge. My 4 & 8 year olds love that and ask to do it every day of our trips. There are a ton of fish in that pod, including koi and catfish.

No resort fee or parking fee. In my opinion this is one of the best resorts in the Orlando/Kissimmee area and the best offsite hotel if you are planning a Disney trip.
