Wyndham- Bentley Brook, MA

We had a great time, despite the weather, at Bentley Brook, MA this Memorial Day weekend. The staff is the best of Wyndham. They are always so helpful, courteous, and friendly. They treat you like family. They are doing maintenance on the adult pool at this time. This is our favorite resort. However, we have enjoyed all of the resorts we have visited. We plan to go to Governors Green, Williamsburg, VA in June/July and the Inn on Long Wharf, Newport RI in December. Probably will spend some more time at Bentley Brook this summer and at Thanksgiving. Enjoy your vacations and resorts.
 
One other reason people like WBB: no sales. WBB is not a Club Wyndham Access resort, and for the most part, there's nothing to sell direct.

:clap:I will find out over July 4th week. The weather at Smuggler's Notch was no better this past weekend. Never stopped raining from Thursday to Sunday. Damaged roads, bridges everywhere. Notch was closed on Sunday due to snow. Had to make our we through the north of there in order to make our way back to NH.

No sales...cool.
 
Bentley Brook

Just a couple of comments. Bentley Brook is sort of isolated. Its about 1/2 hour away from major cities-Pittsfield MA. However, there is lots of cultural and historical sites in the area- Shakers Village. The Museum in Pittsfield is excellent for a small city. They even have an aquarium. Next to Bentley Brook is Jiminy Peaks Ski Resort. They have a couple of Restaurants and summer fun activities - Alpine Slide and other fun things to do. We always get a two bedroom there as we like the extra room, the single rooms seem cramp to us. They have a large Gazebo Hot Tub (our favorite spot) and two smaller hot tubs by the pool (one indoor and one outdoor). The adult pool is closed for renovations. I would think it should be open by July 4th. They have movies every night and lots of planned activities. The coffee in the lounge is great. Hope you have a great time there.

Where was your 2B unit? What view (if any)?
 
Bentley Brook

We had Unit 2325 this time. Our view was Jiminy Peaks Ski Slopes and we could also see the Gazebo Hot Tub. Call the resort and ask them to try to give u a room with the ski slopes view. Its beautiful. They also have lots of grills, so bring your charcoal if you like grilling. The nearest grocery store is about 1;/2 hour away. There is a country store at Jiminy Peaks Resort - very expensive and there is a Cumberland Farms in Stephentown NY about 5 miles away. We always bring our own groceries. There are lots of good restaurants in Pittsfield MA about 1/2 hour away. Hope u enjoy there as much as we do.

We also really like Bentley Brook. We go there a lot in the winter to ski. The staff is great . The resort, amenities, and units are very well maintained - especially when one considers the heavy wear caused by the ski boots and equipment - and the high occupancy rates during the winter, summer and foliage seasons.

We own a few contracts at Bentley Brook and I received the 2012 actual vs budget financials recently. The place really is well managed
 
My family loves the quiet of WBB. Each summer we have spent a week there. I finally purchased a contract there. I am pleased to hear that is well managed. The kids love zip lining and the alpine slide. We enjoy the family time while barbecuing, watching a movie together and relaxing. We look forward to testing out ski season this year.

Wish I was free the week of June 14th. Would have love to gone back to Bentley Brook. Thanks for offering it
 
Early October is PERFECT Fall Color season! Driving the MassPike and the back roads is full of color. The downside is, those back roads are usually crammed with people stopping to view "God's Greatest Painting"!

There is a BJ warehouse in Pittsfield. It had great selection of organic food and vegetables. My husband was on juice diet when we were there. He loved that BJ, wish the one close to our house is that nice.
 
Am sitting in my Bentley Brook 2 bedroom right now! This place is lovely. I will say that the 2 bedroom units are a little smaller than others I have visited, but I knew that beforehand. They are still way better than a hotel room and ours is completely renovated!

I love that we can walk to the Mountain Adventure Park from our unit. We bought the season passes early, so we got a discount. Since our kids like to ride again and again, it was a good bargain for us even though we will only be here for the week. One great thing is that the park still runs in the rain, since it has been a rainy week. It also keeps the crowds away.

Our fridge was not functioning properly, but they fixed that very promptly. We now want to come again. We aren't skiers, but my hubby is interested in taking it up after being here.
 
We are showing up tomorrow. We also have a 2-bedroom. We had asplit reservation, but when I called them Monday, she was able to make it so we didn't have to move. :whoopie:
 
If you have kids, ours tend to go to the pool in the late afternoon-early evening. Perhaps we will see you:)

Made it to BB. The unit we were given is on the top floor of building 24. Nice place. The unit overlooks the pools and the ski area. Pretty sweet. Went to Pittsfield to get groceries. Good to go for the weekend...lol.

We just took the kids to the Cinch em Up Stables in Stephentown, NY. It is about a 10 minute drive from the resort, and it is brand new. My kids really enjoyed their pony rides, and they also do horseback riding up into the mountains.

Since it is new, I didn't know if anyone knew about it, but if you are headed to Bentley and would like to ride, it is very close!
