Wyndham Bay Club II questions

We have booked 5 nights beginning June next summer at the Wyndham PCB Vacation resort and just now booked 4 nights at the Destin Wyndham Bay Club II resort. We had planned on booking at the Wyndham Majestic Sun but much to my surprise there was nothing available for the nights we wanted - 7th through 11th of June.

We were disappointed because it seemed like the Majestic Sun had a nice view of the Gulf and we just had to cross the street to get to the beach. Evidently I need to clarify I am talking about the Wyndham property as there is another Majestic Sun resort that looks pretty nice.

But I have been checking reviews and looking at videos of the Bay Club property and maybe we should not feel disappointed. It seems like it will be hit or miss of we have a nice view but the two bed deluxe seems pretty nice. I have found a lot of videos and material on the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort. Do we have access to all the same amenities of this resort even though we are staying in the Wyndham property? The Baytowne Village or Wharf area seems like a fun place.

It appears there is a free Tram I think we can use it to go to the beach. Now I know there is a gulf side and a bay side, and the gulf side is farther away so when I read the Tram will take us to the beach is that still talking about the Gulf side. I am not sure if there even are beaches on the Bay side. My daughter in law was disappointed because the resort is not on the beach but it seems like it is pretty easy to get to the beach and maybe all the other amenities will more than make up for it. Any feedback about the resort is appreciated.

We have not stayed in Bay Club II. However, we did stay at Bay Club (attached to Bay Club II and managed by another company). Since we are Wyndham owners, they let us do a walkthrough of II. It was very nice, more updated than Bay Club.

I can't comment on the golf arrangement, since neither of us are golfers. We are, however, beach lovers. It is about a mile from the resort. You can take the tram or it is a short drive.

We like Majestic Sun because of the location. However, you will enjoy the layed-back atmosphere of Sandestin. The area properties have a very exclusive look and well kept.

Thanks, we are mainly going for the beach

I called the resort and for somethings that would be complimentary if we stayed at the Sandestin Golf and Beach resort are not free when we stay at the Bay Club II, such as the bike rentals. We are not golfers so as long as the tram is free we should be happy. The Baytowne Village is part of the resort and looks like a fun place to hang out. I was hoping to stay at the Majestic Sun so I could walk to some places and have a drink (and/or read) while others in our group spend all day at the beach.
