Wyndham at the Cottages

Hi all,

My family of four and I usually spend a week at Ocean Boulevard and love it . Recently, we spent a weekend in Newport and invited extended family. They are now in love with Wyndham as well and would like to join us next year in Myrtle Beach. I was thinking of trying to book a 4 bedroom unit at Wyndham at the Cottages next summer.

What do I need to know? My understanding is that we would have access to Ocean Boulevard. Is there a shuttle to OB? Can we rent a golf cart or bike to go back and forth? Do we have access to all amenities? Do the cottages book fast? I don't own in MB and would need to book within the 10 month window.

Any help, advice, guidance is appreciated.

It is an easy walk from the Cottages to Ocean Blvd, Cottages also have a smaller pool and picnic area with grills available. You will have access to all amenities and have parking at your cottage. There are plenty of rentals in the area if you want/need them. We have had guest services come down and provide a golf cart shuttle during non-peak periods. Cottages book fast from close of Bike week (Memorial Day) through Labor day.

Our family has stayed in The Cottages during Thanksgiving for 4-5 years. We love staying there... that being said, we are not there during the prime summer months, so may be a different ball game then. There is a Wyndham shuttle available to transport you to OB, and all OB amenities are available for your use. Another poster gave info about rentals, etc. so I will not repeat.

The Cottages do book fast. There are only 40 cottages total, 30 3br and 10 4br (with one each being for Handicap use). I usually book EARLY on "ARP day one" since we own at OB and have ARP privileges at all Myrtle Beach properties. However, I have found that if you check availability after the ARP period expires, that you do occasionally find it due to a cancellation. Doesn't seem like any rhyme or reason as to when to check, but I have snagged one like that a couple times.

Good luck... these cottages are great for families/larger groups, if not having an ocean view isn't a deal breaker for you!
