We are currently base level owners of a Wyndham time share, and are considering purchasing into a higher level of membership called Wyndham "Access", which includes a feature called "Rewards". It appears that the primary added benefits are: 1) A high-payback Visa and Discounts program, where credit card purchases give you points, then points can be converted to Visa gift cards (which can be used to buy anything). Payback then gets used to offset monthly maintenance fees. 2) Ability to reserve at any resort 13 months in advance, as opposed to doing this only at the resort we own.
Does anyone have first hand experience with being in this program? Can you tell us if the purchase cost (in our case, $16K) has been worthwhile with the added benefits? As best we can tell, the $16K for us can be recouped in 8 or 9 years given the cash back on use of the credit purchases program.

Can this exact same deal and ownership level be purchased in the resale market?

Thanks!

SAVE your money .... you are listening to a timeshare salesman. I own resale and developer points - have Rewards. Not worth the paper it is printed on much less $16,000 of YOUR REAL DOLLARS!

Not available on resale market ... RESCIND!

I think you can get the Wyndham Rewards Credit Card on your own just by applying. I think you have to join Wyndham Rewards which I believe anyone can join. After you get it you have to link it to your Wyndham Resorts account.

New and current Wyndham Rewards members may apply for this credit card. Offer subject to credit approval. Offer subject to change or termination at any time. Points post 8-12 weeks after first transaction. Points can be redeemed for a free night stay or other Wyndham Rewards redemption options. Free night stay based on Tier Level. Property Tier Levels start at five-thousand five-hundred (5,500) points (Tier 1) for 1 free night stay. Higher Tiers will require additional points for a free night stay. RUN...

Rewards is smoke & mirrors...I work at Wyndham and get on this site to help people since the company is FULL of smoke & mirrors...Buy ONLY 28000 points and use your RCI to book LAST CALL only...I had an owner with 2.3 Million points who did this and he is as happy as can be. ALL the sales reps at Wyndham use this formula & are full of BS when they say they own points.
With 28000 points your RCI membership fees are included and then you can travel for $149-$299 FOR THE ENTIRE week ANYWHERE in the world.

Honestly, "F" wyndham...its a scam...upgrades,discounts Rewards & Perks are not worth the Maintenance fees and sales people lie twist & manipulate the system.

RUN...

Absolutely, I AM a salesman and am trying to give back all the wrong that was twisted in my name by the company.

You can buy Club Wyndham Access points on the resale market. Just watch ebay, TUG marketplace, Sumday, or other resellers. It will give you 13 month ARP at many Wyndham resorts, but not all of them. You own points in the club, but do not have deeded ownership in a specific resort. Check the Wyndham directory for a list of resorts in the Club Wyndham access program.
