Have you used the online services of www.all-hotels.com to book a hotel? I believe they are located in the U.K. and use World Pay for payment. We're considering booking through them for a Canadian hotel as the rates are best we can find, however we're not familiar with either the website or the payment plan. Please let me know how satisfied you were with their service. Thankyou.

I have not used them but I would definitely suggest that you check any hotel they match you with with Tripadvisor. I for fun did a search for Vancouver. The only hotel that came up was the Patricia, which is a skid row dive in a horrible part of town -I wouldn't stay there if I was paid well for it. The website showed it as a "budget" hotel.

So I'd just suggest you not rely on their descriptions alone.

Thanks for the advice.

The hotel we're looking at is a 5 star, and we stayed there earlier this year, so no worries there. Just wondering about giving our money to a company overseas (possibly?) to get a better rate on accomodations at a hotel a couple of hours drive from our home. Seems kind of bizarre, but I guess many things are now possible. I'm just looking for some comfort level that they are legit. and that we'll not lose our funds if we hand them over.

Have you checked the hotel's website for the hotel where you want to stay? I checked the all-hotel website to see what rate they quote for a hotel where we are staying in Las Vegas and it was the same rate I found on the hotel's website. Plus, all-hotel's fine print says they charge a service fee in addition to the room rate quoted.

Yes, I've checked that too, but thanks for the suggestion.

All-Hotels rate is better than the hotel's website and their telephone reservation line. Still looking for some comfort level with the organization. Has anyone booked with them?

I'd also personally match them against lastminute.com and octopustravel.com as I've used both of them without problems so far.

Thanks. Checked out those websites also.

I've not heard of either of them before, so thanks for the suggestion. Didn't have what I'm looking for, however. I am going to try moving this request to an alternate bulletin board.

Moderator, can you help?

I must be doing something wrong, as I tried placing this message on the Canada bulletin board and Dave the BB moderator deleted my post saying it didn't comply with posting rules as I'd already posted elsewhere.
Could you please let me know how I'm supposed to be doing this?
Thankyou.
